Hostal Naira La Paz
This morning, travel northwest in the direction of sacred Lake Titicaca (3810 masl). To get there you'll head up and out of La Paz and into the vast altiplano, passing through El Alto, Bolivia's second-largest city. We travel through the altiplano, eventually reaching Lake Titicaca, a bi-national water body shared by Bolivia and Peru and one of the largest lakes in the continent.
After about three hours we will arrive in Copacabana, a small town on the edge of the lake where we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and take a stroll around town before continuing by public ferry to the Island of the Sun.
Once we get there, you will have a beautiful short trek to the southern tip of the island, visiting the Inca Stairs and the Fountain of Youth and, of course, spectacular views all around you. After our trek, you'll head to the island's small port to return to Copacabana, and from there back to your hotel in La Paz.
