While it is an offshoot of surfing, in contrast with traditional surfing where the surfer remains seated until a wave comes, stand up paddle boarders stand atop their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves through the water surface. Perfect for the still, calm ocean. Look around to enjoy the magnificent landscape of both land and sea, or look down for a crystal-clear close-up of the ocean ‘aquarium’ beneath you, all the while getting an excellent cardio workout!
