Welcome to Madrid! A private taxi awaits you at the airport and accompanies you to the hotel. For those arriving early, you’ll have an option to kick start the tour by diving right in. Walk about the center and grab your first impressions of the grand streets and bright architecture. You’ll soon discover a wonderful assortment of elegant boulevards, illustrious museums, royal palaces, manicured parks, and trendy eateries. Its center is a collection of diverse barrios which each boast a distinct charm, and lay claim to architectural wonders including the 17th century Plaza Mayor and vast Royal Palace. We also recommend a visit to Gran Via, the city’s most famous shopping boulevard, and Puerta del Sol, the so-called ‘Heart of Spain’ and home to the famous Bear and Strawberry Tree statue, which has become a symbol of the city. There’s something for everybody here! In the evening you go deep into the Spanish culture while visiting a Flamenco show.

On your second day in the Spanish capital, you´ll really begin to soak up the culture with many diverse neighborhoods to visit, sights to see, and local products to purchase. Have a picnic in the gardens of the huge central park – Retiro. Art lovers will rejoice in the city’s ‘Golden Triangle of Art’ comprising the art museums: Museo del Prado, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, and Museo Reina Sofía, which display works from many of the world’s artistic heavyweights. Fashionistas looking for another retail hit should head to the barrio of Salamanca, home to glamorous avenues and the famed ‘Golden Mile’ of Calle Serrano with its upscale boutiques and stores of famous fashion houses. In the evening we have a Flamenco show waiting for you.

Meet your guide in front of Las Ventas metro station at 7:45 am and head on a 10-hour trip to Toledo and Segovia, both declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. The first stop of the journey will be Toledo, commonly known as the “City of the Three Cultures”, famous for its Muslim, Jewish, and Christian landmarks when the three communities lived together for centuries. Guided by your expert English-speaking guide, you’ll enjoy visiting its millenary architectural, artistic, and urban heritage while you wander through its narrow and steep streets, gardens and squares. You’ll come to the Toledo Cathedral, one of Spain’s most prominent Gothic buildings, and the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, where the Catholic Monarchs were buried. Before heading onto the next stop, you’ll also enjoy the most impressive panoramic views of Toledo from the Puente de San Martín (St Martin Bridge) and the Mirador del Valle (Valle Lookout). Upon arrival in Segovia, you’ll walk to the Roman aqueduct, one of the best-preserved Roman monuments in Spain. You’ll also admire the beautiful Cathedral, known as the “Dama de las Catedrales” (Lady of the Cathedrals) for its surprising Gothic and Renaissance design. Next, you’ll follow your guide through the streets of the Canonjías neighborhood until you get to the Alcázar, one of the country’s most-visited castles. From here, you’ll be able to see the medieval city walls that once surrounded the entire town. Finally, at 5 pm, we'll leave Segovia for the Spanish capital. Arrival at the meeting point in Madrid is scheduled at 6:45 pm.

In the morning you take the high-speed train from Atocha train station in Madrid, and a bit more than three hours later it will drop you off in Santiago de Compostella, known for its famous saint which attacks tens of thousands of pilgrims each year, walking the famous Camino de Santiago. You will slowly see the dry-arid landscape of Castilla y Leon transform into the lush green hills of Galicia.

Today you have the time to walk around the historic center and mingle with the pilgrims. Visit the cathedral, the most symbolic symbol of the Camino de Santiago. Do you want to feel how it is to talk about the final trail? Take a bus to the penultimate village and walk the final 7 kilometers and get a real vibe of the pilgrim's spirit. See how slowly you reach Santiago de Compostela watching its cathedral getting closer by the minute. If you want to make an excursion, then hop on a train and within half an hour you are in the center of A Coruña, famous for its lighthouse built by the Romans. Stroll along its beach, and find a good fish restaurant.

After picking you up at 9:30 am from Praza de Galicia in Santiago de Compostela, we'll set off for Vigo. Once there, we'll board a boat and sail to the Cies Islands, a beautifully wild archipelago belonging to the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park. We'll anchor on the island of Monteagudo, next to Rodas Beach, a stunning stretch of sand that was declared the best beach in the world by The Guardian in 2007. You'll soon understand why! You'll have free time on the island to explore at your leisure. You can take any of the trails scattered across the island, which will lead the Cíes Lighthouse, and to the viewpoint of Alto do Príncipe, a 122-meter high drop that offers dizzying views of the archipelago. On the paths, you'll see different types of plants and wildlife native to these Atlantic islands. Keep eyes peeled for plants like gorse, broom, asparagus, torvisco, and bird including cormorants, turtledoves, and gannets. Finally, we'll take the boat back to Vigo, where we'll disembark and get on a minibus back to the starting point in Santiago. Arrival is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

You will be picked up by a private transfer to be brought to the airport. From here you either fly from Santiago de Compostela to either Madrid for a connecting flight or directly home.
