In the morning, drive 5 hours to Halong Bay through lush green rice paddies where you transfer to a traditional junk boat for a cruise. On arrival in Halong, you will board the Traditional Junk, a fantastic replica of a junk that navigated Halong Bay's shallow waters a century ago to see the 1,500 km over which thousands of limestone islands and grottoes rise from the clear emerald waters of the Gulf of Bac Bo. Climbing the steps up to the top of Titop islet will enable you to see breathtaking views over the entire bay. Lunch is served with fresh seafood. In the afternoon there will be time for sport swimming activities and kayaking. After dinner, family members can enjoy a spot of night fishing on board.

Up arrival, you’ll see our local guide in Danang Airport and start moving to Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries with a relaxed lifestyle that has changed little over the years. In the afternoon, take a tour of the ancient town centre to visit the homes of former merchants, the 400 a year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, the exotic local market and a local school. Today you’ll take a half day trip to Cu Chi tunnels and explore the complex maze of tunnels built during the U.S.-Vietnam War. The afternoon is free or arranging a trip upon request to the Water Park, History Museum or the magical and whimsical Dam Lotus Park. Overnight in HCMC. At its height, the Cu Chi tunnel system stretched over 250km. from Saigon to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S.-Vietnam War must have been like.

Along the way, you also visit the many fascinating local cottages industries including rice paper makers, sweet factory, bonsai nurseries. A huge lunch followed with many seasonal fruits at an orchard is some enjoyment of the trip.
