After early breakfast, go for a day excursion to Agra from New Delhi (04 hours drive each way). Home to one of the 7 wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal, Agra is a sneak peek into the architectural history with other UNESCO World Heritage Sites as Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. History, architecture, romance all together create the magic of Agra and hence makes for a must-visit for anyone living in or visiting India. On arrival at Agra, visit Taj Mahal (Friday Closed) One of the seven wonders or symbol of love. The Taj Mahal stands for the Crown of Palaces in the Persian language. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial for his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Constructed entirely out of white marble in the 17th century, it is among the finest edifices of Mughal architecture. As fuel-based vehicles are not permitted in the vicinity of Taj Mahal, you will head to Taj Mahal gate by a Battery operated Bus. (Friday Closed). Visit Agra Fort (An Epitome of the Mughal Dynasty) – An architectural masterpiece, The Red Fort of Agra or Agra Fort was built by Emperor Akbar in 1573. One of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the fort was once the erstwhile residence of the Mughals until the year 1638. Within the premises of the fort lie the most exquisite structures of the Mughals like the Pearl Mosque, Diwan-i I Khas, Diwan-I-am, Moti Masjid and Jahangir Mahal. Kanha National Park, also known as Kanha Tiger Reserve, is a vast expanse of grassland and forest in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Tigers, jackals and wild pigs can be spotted in Kanha Meadows. The elevated plateau of Bamhnidadar is home to birds of prey. This biodiverse park is known for its large population of Royal Bengal tigers, especially in the central Tala zone. Other animals include white tigers, leopards and deer. The mix of tropical forest, Sal trees and grassland are home to scores of bird species, including eagles. To the south are the remains of the ancient Bandhavgarh Fort. Visit Elephanta Caves – A UNESCO World Heritage Site The Elephanta Caves are a site of ancient cave temples on Elephanta Island, off the shore of Mumbai.
