This afternoon is yours! Head back to your room for a snooze, do some shopping in Bar Harbor, or rent some bikes for a ride through the park.

Spend the morning spotting some of Maine’s most adorable local residents. You’ll board a private chartered boat for a tour of Frenchman Bay to Petit Mann Island and Ironbound Island to see the world famous puffins! The bay is also home to Harbor and Gray Seals as well as Razorbills, Arctic Terns, Roseate Terns, Common Terns, Guillemots, Cormorants, and Bald Eagles

The island is also the location of the historic Petit Mann Lighthouse, the second tallest in Maine. Your tour is led by a local expert and can be tailored to your interests and time.

Today is yours to enjoy at your leisure! Spend the morning relaxing or enjoying the town. You may opt to visit the scenic Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens or just spend some time relaxing on the beach and watching the wildlife.

We suggest heading into town for a local breakfast. This afternoon, you’ll meet a guide for a private kayaking tour of the rocky coast. Enjoy some time paddling along the water looking for seals and sea life or aquatic birds as your guide shares information about the local

ecosystems.

Wake up and head south along the coast to the city of Portland, Maine.

You’ll arrive just in time to hit the high seas with a real Maine lobster boat crew! Your captain will take you out on the water where you’ll participate in all the excitement of hauling traps and learning about the area.

You can even purchase your catch wholesale and bring it across the pier to cook up for a delicious meal at Portland Lobster Company.

Head out to Cape Elizabeth for some final views of the Atlantic from Fort Williams Park.
