Today cycling destinations to conquer are Kompoing Kdei and Beng Mealea. Arriving at Kompong Kdei, you will visit the ancient bridge Spean Praptos or Kompong Kdei Bridge. This ancient bridge is one of the few Khmer Empire-era bridges to have survived to the modern day and it used to connect the city of Angkor to Phnom Chisor Temple.
Next, enjoy the pleasant countryside landscape on the way to Beng Mealea Temple which means Lotus Pond, a 12th-century AD temple built during the Angkor Wat era. This is one of the most impressive temples which is embraced by the jungle.
After lunch at a local restaurant, explore the outskirts with some hidden secondary temples. Then arrive at Beng Mealea right at sunset. You will spend tonight at a local homestay.
