Trip Snapshot
Beautiful mountains, hills, valleys and plains dominate the geography of landlocked Nepal that extends from the Himalayan range in the north to the Indo-Gangetic lowlands in the south. Mt. Everest, the highest point of the Himalayas, is in Nepal. The country is well endowed with perennial rivers and glacial lakes that originate in the Himalayas. The variety in Nepal’s topography provides a home to wildlife such as tigers, rhinos, monkeys, bears, yaks, leopards and many different species of insects and birds. Nepal is home to almost 10 percent of the world’s bird species, 500 of which can be found in the Kathmandu Valley. In this journey to Nepal we discover its numerous temples and monuments and drive to Bandipur famous for it centuries old architecture and onwards to Pokhara, Nepal’s second most popular tourist destination nestled beneath the snow-crested Annapurna Massif. After Pokhara we drive to Chitwan National Park for unforgettable jungle adventures and wildlife viewing opportunities and enjoy participating in various jungle activities such as an elephant safari, jungle drive and a nature walk. On our drive back to Kathmandu we stop at Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha
