The following important information for the trip on houseboat in Kalimantan : Meals 1. Breakfast on boat : toast, eggs, fruits, tea and juices 2. Lunch and Dinner will be simple Indonesia or Chinese food. Clothing It would be better to wear long pants during trekking and also while on boat to avoid mosquito bites. If you enter the forest and want to see orangutan feeding, then there might be much more mosquito’s than on boat. Hat and sun glasses will be necessary when the temperature becomes very warm Foot wear It is advisable to wear special trekking shoes or sneaker would be fine because when you enter the forest, the trip will be rather difficult since there are many obstacles as the tree roots that will disrupt your trip in the forest. Therefore you need to wear shoes. Bring also some shoes as a replacement when it’s getting wet. Medication Bring your own medication and also mosquito and insects repellent, sun block cream Malaria is small case but just to make sure, it would be better if they have already the vaccine before departure. Toiletries Bring your toiletries such as toilet paper, towels, soaps, toothpastes and toothbrushes because it will be not provided on boat Sleeping equipment Bring your own blanket because the temperature at night might be cooler because the boat is open Simple mattress and pillow will be prepared on boat. Additional light snack and soft drinks All necessities of meals on boat will be brought from mainland (Kumai) because during the boat trip, there will be no sellers or traders. On boat, there will be a cook join the trip. You could also bring extra foods, snacks, soft drink or mineral waters and could be bought upon arrival at airport. Money Bring also enough cash money which could be taken upon arrival at airport. You will need cash money to buy extra foods, snacks or soft drinks or for the expenses of permit fee camera or handy cam during the trip, personal expenses, tipping for guide and driver and unexpected situation. Camera & Handy cam The camera and handy cam fee are not included yet in the program and could be directly paid on the spot. Bring also extra batteries and phone / camera charger. Others : Bring also flash light, light body pack for trekking and rain coat.

Prior to COVID, Visa regulations vary by country and the client should get information on the subject through relevant sources such as Indonesian Embassies and Consulates within their country of residence. You must take care of the necessary visa to enter Indonesia. Some nationalities could get a free visa on arrival for max 30 days stay and for tourism purposes. You will need: > A passport with a validity date at least 6 months beyond the date of entry into Indonesia. > A valid return ticket This visa condition is subject to changes and we will need to update once we have news on opening of the borders and visa process. International /Domestic flights During COVID, it is required to have a PCR swab test (48 hours) prior to the traveling. We can assist the clients to include a visit to a clinic during a transfer / excursion, but costing for the test will be on your own account. In case we will need to arrange a separate visit to the clinic, we will need to quote accordingly Once Indonesia will allow international visitors back, we will have information on the required procedures and update the changes. Insurance We strongly recommend every visitor to Indonesia to take sufficient medical & health and cancellation insurance.
