Drive to Jaipur. On the way we will visit Fatehpur Sikri. The name Fatehpur Sikri evokes a nostalgia for history among the minds of India. The richest period in history can be attributed to the Mughal period, as Akbar is one of the emperors who most shone through his actions. Fatehpur Sikri represents all the architectural wonder that the time of this emperor could evoke. This is officially a city and a district, but in reality, this historic façade is a mere ghost town from the past. The facade of Fatehpur Sikri remains a desert and historical monument, although it was built to support a sprawling ancient city. Built during the second half of the 16th century by Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory) was the capital of the Mughal Empire for 10 years. Sunset at the Taj Mahal: The Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved queen Begum Mumtaz. It is said that this wonder of the world took 21 years to build. It has a huge bright white dome with four minarets at the corners and is marked by perfect symmetry and harmony, be it the shape of the minarets; the domes the central arch of the facade; the perfectly arranged arched recesses or the intricate stone inlay work. (Closed on Fridays). It is the most extravagant monument ever built for love.
