Day 1

place Arrival Day - visit Buenos Aires

Meet your driver at Ezeiza International Airport - transfer to Buenos Aires in a private vehicle with your English-speaking guide. Visit Buenos Aires (half day, walking tour, aprox 5h) Start your discovery of Buenos Aires with the political and historical centre of the capital around the 9 de Julio Avenue dominated by the Obelisk and the main square, Plaza de Mayo, beating heart of Argentina's social and historical moments. Next stop: San Telmo, one of the oldest neighbourhoods with an intact Porteño atmosphere: galleries, antique shops, indoor market... Famous outdoor fleamarket every sunday around the Dorrego Square. Continue your visit with the picturesque neighborhood of La Boca, host to the small alley of El Caminito, where painters, tango dancers and singers meet between the ancient colourful wooden houses. Visit of the "Los Pibes del Playón" cooperative, producers of Los Porteñitos alfajors In 2001, a serious economic crisis hit Argentina. Numerous cooperatives were born in that period and are still operating today, such as Los Pibes del Playon, producers of the first hand-made alfajores in Buenos Aires (typical argentinian biscuits). Visit the cooperative cafe and listen to the story and experience of this place told by its participants. With the help of your hosts, cook some typical alfajores - and resist finishing the dulce de leche... You can take the alfajores with you or donate them for the social food courts. Return to your hotel after the visit. Night at the Cassa Lepage Hotel in a standard room.

Visit the Recoleta Cemetery, where many celebrities, writers and politicians rest. The most famous and revered even today is the tomb of Evita Peron, the legendary wife of President Peron. Continue your visit in the Palermo neighbourhood, with leafy streets, small eateries and little shops, and take a stroll in the Tres de Febrero park inaugurated in 1875, the largest green area of the city. Return to your hotel. Difficulty: Easy - walking in the city combined with public transportation (bus, metro). Boedo Dinner Experience : Discover the historical Boedo neighbourhood in Buenos Aires and the daily life of a franco-argentinian family. Take a walk to discover the neighbourhood and its typical murales (colourful wall paintings) celebrating tango and football, before having a drink at Café Margot - an iconic place dear to the locals. Your hosts then welcome you in their house, to teach you how to make empanadas and share a meal together. The evening ends with a "kahoot" quizz game.
