Arrival Day - Buenos Aires Private Walking City Tour
Meet your driver at Ezeiza International Airport - transfer to Buenos Aires in a private vehicle with an English-speaking guide. Visit Buenos Aires (half day, walking tour). Today, discover the political and historical centre of the capital . Start with the 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest in the world, dominated by the Obelisk, a symbol of Buenos Aires. You will pass the Colon Theatre, one of the jewels of the Argentine architecture, before arriving on the Capital main square, Plaza de Mayo. Your visit then takes you to San Telmo: this historical neighbourhood is a dynamic mix of tourists and locals: picturesque alleyways, old typical cafés, antique shops... This lively barrio is animated day and night - a famous flea market takes place every sunday around Dorrego square. End your visit with the picturesque neighborhood of La Boca, with its small alley of El Caminito : painters, tango dancers and singers meet between the ancient colourful wooden houses. Buenos Aires Private Walking City tour
Visit Buenos Aires (half day, walking tour) Guided tour of the Recoleta neighbourhood, characterized by many colonial houses, currently inhabited by powerful Argentine families. Enter the luxurious Pacifico Shopping Center with its typical 1889 French architecture with vaulted ceilings. This stunning place is a locals' favourite. Visit the Recoleta Cemetery, where many celebrities, writers and politicians rest. The most famous and revered even today is the tomb of Evita Peron, the legendary wife of President Peron. Continue your visit in the Palermo neighbourhood, with leafy streets, small eateries and little shops, and take a stroll in the Tres de Febrero park inaugurated in 1875, the largest green area of the city. Watch Southern Right Whales and explore the Valdes Peninsula - drive to Trelew for the night
Drive to the Valdés peninsula, refuge of a diverse wildlife, on land and in the waters. You discover the Bird Island in the Ameghino isthmus and Puerto Piramides, a seaside resort located on the cliffs of the peninsula. Suggested excursion (June to mid-December) - included From Puerto Piramides, take a boat to get closer to the whales. The slow and curious gigantic mammals playfully let you observe their skin covered with calluses. They sometimes dive under the boats emitting a particular sound and jump out for an unforgettable experience. If the weather is fair, dolphins might also follow your boat. Suggested excursion (from mid-December to May) - not included As whales have migrated into the southern seas, take a boat to reach Punta Piramides loberia, a refuge for sea lions. You can observe the activity of these colonies depending on the time of year: formation of harems, reproduction, births etc. You then reach Cormoran Island, home to many breeding colonies, and head to a cave full of fossils. In the middle of the afternoon, drive to Trelew. Aproximately 1h44 drive, 156km.

Drive to the small village of Bahia Bustamante - Seaside Lodge in the middle of wildlife
Leave Trelew for the small village of Bahia Bustamante. Drive across the steppe of Patagonia: straight line, flat landscape, no one on the horizon, and the ever-present winds! You will feel the power of Patagonia as you barely begin to enter it. Leave Road 3 to take a track that follows the seaside leading to the village of Bahia Bustamante. Bahia Bustamante was born as a seaweed fishing village and is now a lodge located in the middle of a true natural wildlife sanctuary. Few places in the world can boast its diversity of seabirds and marine mammals, which explains its inclusion within the "Patagonia Austral" marine and coastal park and the "Blue Patagonia" UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It is also an IBAs (Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas). Compared to the Galapagos Islands, this is a privileged area to observe many species in diverse ecosystems: marine, intertidal, marshes, wetlands, steppe, etc In this incredible surrounding, you will have the chance to observe the following species*: - Magellanic Penguin colony - Blue-eyed Cormorant and Rock Cormorant - Chubut Steamer Duck and Olrog ́s Gull who are both endemic species - Red knot - White-rumped sandpiper - Hudsonian godwit - Sea Lions colony - Whales, dolphins and Commerson’s dolphin - Patagonian Cavy, lesser rheas, guanacos (often seen) - Tinamous and even grey fox and maras (best time at the sunset) *November is the best period to optimize your chances of seeing as much wildlife as possible. Tour around Bahia Bustamante Lodg - visit petrified trees, the penguin island, natural oceanpools
Book one included activity directly on site depending on weather conditions: Navigation in Caleta Malaspina Sail along the quiet Malaspina Cove towards the Vernacci Islands which are home to Sea Lions (4000 animals during breeding season), Magellanic Penguins (100.000 – Season: October to March) and colourful Marine Bird colonies. Visit to the Gravina Peninsula A Peninsula with sandy beaches, crystal clear water and reddish rocks. Perfect for biking, trekking or touring in the 4×4 trucks, not only to wonderful beaches, but also to sites of great archeological and geological importance. Natural swimming pools are formed in between the rocks, for a fun experience of bathing with a view to the open ocean. Walk on the penguin island Only 15 minutes away from the Lodge, this island is home to a colony of Magellanic Penguins. During low tide hours you can reach the island on foot, having the amazing experience of watching penguins, chicks and nests all around you. Along the road to the island you can also observe all kinds of Steppe wildlife. Visit to the petrified forest A 4×4 ride combined with a moderate trekking to the Petrified Forest, located 18 miles away from the Lodge within the limits of our land. The Petrified Forest is a journey to the past. Exactly 60 million years ago expressed in petrified trees and pieces of wood. Fascinating!! During the visit, we will be able to observe all kinds of Steppe wildlife too (lesser rheas, guanacos, maras, and more).

Bahia Bustamante - visit the old village, walk in a canyon, observe wildlife
Listen to the surprising story of this remote place by the Patagonia Coast. Lorenzo Soriano started harvesting seaweed in the 1950s. Followed by more than 400 workers, he founded a village where streets are named after different species of seaweed. The silence here is only broken by gusts of wind, the song of hundreds of species of birds and the waves breaking on the shore. Fly Back to Buenos Aires for a tango night
You leave Bahia Bustamante to go a little further south following the Atlantic Ocean. Facing the ocean, on the other side of the road, the steppe and its natural inhabitants: guanacos, eagles, armadillos, maras... Take your time to try and spot as many as you can, wildlife is very dynamic in the region. Aproximately 2h50 drive, 156 km. You arrive at Comodoro Rivadavia and go to the airport to take your flight. Leave your vehicle at the rental's office within the airport. Domestic flight Comodoro Rivadavia - Buenos Aires. Flight not included – contact us to include it and book it for you. Transfer from Buenos Aires domestic airport to your hotel in a private vehicle. Night at the milonga, ballroom for tango aficionados with a private guide. Step into the intimate atmosphere of the milonga to observe the tango etiquette at ease while sipping champagne: men cross eyes with seated women to invite them. A small nod means yes, and dancers then meet directly on the floor. The atmosphere is warm and lively at the tables, between visitors and regulars. Note : the exact time and place of the milonga may vary depending on the day - some start at 7pm, others at 11pm, and a few continue till dawn, ending with hot coffee and fresh croissants!
