Day 2: ACCRA (AFROCHELLA FESTIVAL- OPENING NIGHT) -Thursday, December 29 Welcome to the bustling city of Accra; a blend of modern buildings and structures which existed during the colonial times. The 120 year old city offers you unique display of historical landmarks including New Town, Ga Mashie and Jamestown communities. We have the following visits lined up for the day: · Visit the W.E.B DuBois former home, now a museum and Centre for the study of Africanism · Drive through Flagstaff House, official residence and administrative offices of the president (Ghana’s Whitehouse) . We will return to our hotel to freshen up before we attend Afrochella festival designed to elevate and highlight the thrilling and thriving millennial talent from and in Africa. The day will feature a festive celebration of our culture in the form of Arts and Fashion Installations, Live painting, the best of African Culture and Live performances. Following a fun-packed night, enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel. Mid morning, we step out to complete our tour of Accra: · Drive through the Independence Square where Ghana hosts most of her national ceremonies on our way to visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, final resting place of Ghana’s first president driving pass the Independence Square where you will see the enclosed flame of African liberation, which was lit by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1961. The Memorial Park is set in attractive gardens and has a museum which contains photos, artifacts and an insight into Dr. Nkrumah’s life. · Just adjoining the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum is the famous global market place- the Accra Arts & Crafts Centre. How about trying out you bargaining skills at the largest open market in Accra whiles you shop for some stunning authentic African wear, arts and crafts as souvenirs for family and friends back home?. · We end the day’s tour at the Jamestown community- one of Accra’s most historic neighborhoods, where history resides on every corner. Best known for its lighthouses and the Usher Fort). At Jamestown, enjoy a historic walking tour as you explore the daily lives of the local people. Enjoy the interesting sights and sounds on this Jamestown walking tour and experience a taste of carefully selected street food. You will have the opportunity to sample and taste a few freshly made local meals such as the popular Ga Kenkey made from corn dough, fish, red pepper or green sauce, Banku, rice, eggs, Waakye (made from rice and beans). Today is a free day to do your own personal exploration. Sunbath at the beach or visit the spa (on your own account). Tonight, ring in the New Year in Style at Afrochella’s New Year’s Eve Party. Get ready with your dancing shoes to dance your heart out at Afrochella’s New Year’s Party as you make new friends and bogy to Afro beats and tunes. Day 5

place ACCRA – WINNEBA- CAPE COAST - Sunday, January 1

Following a leisure breakfast, we depart to Cape Coast in Ghana’s Central Region. This region has had the most significant effect on the lives of Africans in the diaspora. We will make a stop at Winneba, a historic fishing port also known traditionally as Simpa in south Ghana. Here, you will witness the spectacular display of cultural masquerades in grand style amidst street dancing performances with unique costumes. Do well to have that camera fully charged for some great shots! We continue to Elmina and enjoy lunch (on your account) at the Coconut Grove Beach Resort. We will embark on a guided walking tour of Elmina, which was the first point of European contact in Sub-Saharan Africa. It was once the most cosmopolitan city in tropical Africa. Enjoy a walk through the ancient town of Elmina. At the harbor see the colorful fishing canoes getting ready to go to sea for another night’s task of fishing. place ELMINA & CAPE COAST CASTLES - Monday, January 2

After breakfast, we will travel the short distance to Elmina Castle, originally called Fort Sao Jorge de Elmina – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, completed in 1486 and was the first European made structures built in sub-Saharan Africa. After this visit, we continue to Cape Coast to see the Cape Coast dungeon, where you will experience the emotional journey of going in the opposite direction of our ancestors, through the famous “door of no return”. Lunch (on your own account) at the One Africa Restaurant. This evening, you will experience the traditional Fihankra Ceremony– “Restore to Diasporas the Cultural and Spiritual connections that were denied them for centuries”. The Fihankra Ceremony will include a traditional Naming Ceremony where you will receive your certificate of authentication. Meal(s): Breakfast, Dinner Hotel: Ridge Royal Hotel or similar

place CAPE COAST - KAKUM - ADA FOAH-Tuesday, January 3

After breakfast and check out, you will visit Kakum National Park, which has one of Africa’s famous rainforest canopy walkways. This canopy walkway will be one of the highlights of your time in Ghana. Prepare to take a deep breath as you walk the suspended bridge and marvel at the breathtaking views that stretch for miles across the rainforest. We continue to Ada Foah, for an exclusive luxurious experience at Aqua Safari Resort, a top eco-friendly luxury getaway resort in the heart of Ada Foah, located 2 hours drive away from Ghana’s capital, Accra. This is where you enjoy an ideal blend of a stunning beach, picturesque village tours, topped off with some sun. You will also unravel a rich and inspiring history of the local people. We arrive in time for a mouth watering dinner (prepared with fresh farm produce) which you can take right at the beach or taken from the serene chalet garden. There is a chance to to be part of exciting events happening at the hotel which may include watching beautiful orange flames flicker into the Ada night sky as the resort fetes you excellent night life band music or DJ’s special playlist. place ADA FOAH -Wednesday, January 4

After a sumptuous breakfast either at the beach, chalet, terrace, chalet garden or the Island, morning at leisure sunbathing along the Atlantic Ocean. You may take walk around the resort which reminds most like a walk through an episode of Discovery Channel. If the well-mannered donkeys don’t amuse you, the friendly midget ponies will definitely get you posing for pictures. Why walk the tour when you can glide it? You have the day to explore everything Big Ada has to offer while you effortlessly and smoothly glide through its ins-and outs. Enjoy a beautiful glide on the Segway ride as you explore the town of Ada. There are also varieties of activities you can choose. You can take a leisure ride on a bike through Ada township and commune with nature, or enjoy the thrill of your first catch of Barracuda, Dorado, Tuna Mackerel, etc or grab the opportunity of going kayaking or canoeing with the resort’s GHALDA certified staff and have some fun. Or you can take a cool icy dip in the stunning resort pool overlooking the Atlantic ocean, or just while away the hours on the beach, save for your personal butler at hand to top up your cocktail whenever you need, or just enjoy the stunning views from the your balcony. Late afternoon, take a relaxing boat cruise to the Mangroves and Island to explore the work of the local gin producers on the Island who is committed to responsible tourism and environment protection.
