Today you will discover the amazing temples of Yogyakarta and the history of the city. Sultan Palace Stroll around the historical and public compound of his Highness Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, the actual Sultan of Yogyakarta who also holds the title of Governor of Yogyakarta. Taman Sari was built as the pleasure palace for the early Sultans. Wives, concubines, and children would swim in the pools, waiting for the Sultan to toss down a flower to choose his lady for the day. The underground mosque is great to snap beautiful shots yet it’s not a functioning place of worship so you don’t have to concern yourself with head coverings. Having the Sultan’s mosque somewhat hidden was a way to make the mainly Hindu subjects less concerned about the Islam of their leader. Prambanan Comprising the remains of some 244 temples, UNESCO World Heritage–listed Prambanan is Indonesia's largest Hindu site and one of Southeast Asia's major attractions.

After breakfast you will drive to the city of Magelang, home to the famous Borobudur Temple. Borobudur Dating from the 8th and 9th centuries, and built from two million blocks of stone, Borobudur is the world's largest Buddhist temple and one of Indonesia's most important cultural sites. The temple takes the form of a symmetrical stone stupa, wrapped around a hill and nestled in a compound of trimmed lawns fringed with tropical hardwoods. Candi Rejo A unique journey by bike or horse cart to dive into the Javanese culture. You will share unique moments with the locals and discover their traditions and daily life activities.

Early in the morning, your driver will take you to the station for a 5h train ride through the Javanese landscape. When you arrive in Surabaya, your driver will be waiting for you with a sign under your name. You will enjoy a local lunch in the heart of the busy city of Surabaya and pursue your journey for a 3h drive to reach your hotel located close to the caldeira of mount Bromo. Good to know: Ask your hotel to prepare a breakfast box. Enjoy the landscapes of Java for approximately 5 hours.

Short night as you will leave your hotel at around 2am by 4WD to reach the Penanjakan hills for the sunrise. Magical moments as the sun rises and unveils the beautiful view over the sea sand and its volcanoes. After sunrise, you will be able to walk through the sea sand and climb a few hundred stairs to reach the crater of Mount Bromo. Back to your hotel for breakfast and a quick rest prior to pursuing your journey for a 7h drive to reach East Java. Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is the largest volcanic region of Java. It covers a massive area of 800 square km in the center of East Java. Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is the only conservation area in Indonesia that has a 10 km sea of sand called Tengger, from which four new volcanic cones have emerged. Those volcanic cones are Mount Batok (2,470 m), Mount Kursi (2,581 m), Mount Watangan (2,661 m), and Mount Widodaren (2,650 m). However, Mount Bromo is still the only one that is active. Temperatures at the top of Mount Bromo range about 5-18 degrees Celsius.

Short night as you will be departing at around 2am by 4WD for a 30min off road drive through the jungle and reaching the starting point of your climb toward the summit of Mount Ijen. Once at the top, your local guide will ask you to put your gas mask on to protect your lungs from the sulphuric gas and will choose a nice little viewing spot to watch the sunrise. You’ll enjoy a coffee whilst watching the sunrise and miners descending into the crater and re-emerging carrying up to 80 kilos of sulphur along the treacherous path. Enjoy your hotel facilities or rest in your room until noon. Take the ferry and reach the island of Bali and drive to Pemuteran, a small village of the North-West coast of Bali offering a peaceful atmosphere for a nice rest after your Javanese journey.

After your breakfast, your driver will drive you to the harbour of Labuan Lalang where your local captain awaits. Registration, sustainability briefing and hop on your boat to start your navigation in the heart of Bali Barat Park to reach the island of Menjangan. You will enjoy unforgettable snorkeling sessions and a local picnic lunch on board or on the beach (depending on the tide). Bali Barat national park and the island of Menjangan are a true paradise for underwater worlds lovers. Back to your hotel and afternoon at leisure to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the national park of Bali Barat.

After breakfast leave to the North-East coast of Bali through volcanic landscapes and crater lakes. You will first visit the famous Ulun Danu temple that seems to be floating on Lake Bratan. Ulun Danu A temple floating on the Bratan lake. We suggest a quick stop on the hills to enjoy the view and snapshot the temple that seems to be floating over the lake Bratan. You will then head to Jatiluwih rice fields, that is a UNESCO Heritage Site. You can enjoy walking along the several hiking paths to enjoy the breathtaking views over the rice fields and terraces. Temple of Batukaru Located on the southern slope of Mount Batukaru, Bali's second-highest volcano, the temple remains an extremely sacred site for Bali's Hindu population (many of the complex's grounds remain off-limits to visitors for various ceremonies and events throughout the year).

Early in the morning, your driver will drive you to Padang Bai harbour. You will enjoy a 2h fast boat ride surrounded by beautiful views overlooking the islands of Bali and Lombok. Your driver will collect the boat tickets at the counter. Arriving in Bangsal, your driver will be waiting with a sign under your name and drive you to your hotel.
