Day 1

place Welcome to Thailand!

Greetings from Bangkok! Thailand’s capital is a large city known for ornate shrines and vibrant street life. The boat-filled Chao Phraya River feeds its network of canals, flowing past the Rattanakosin royal district. This dynamic city is famous for its street life and cultural landmarks. And it has many more things to offer for every traveler all over the world.

Upon arrival and after check-in at the hotel (check-in time: 2 PM). It's your free time and no sightseeing today.

Day 2

place Exploring Bangkok by local transfers and walking tour

Today, you will explore Bangkok through the local transfers which make you understand more about the culture, the system, and the people in Thailand. After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you to the Wat Arun Temple first. It was built during the Ayutthaya period and is named after Aruna, the Indian god of the dawn, hence its common name The Temple of Dawn. After this, you will take a local ferry boat to the opposite pier to visit Wat Pho Temple (Temple of the Reclining Buddha). Then, walk for 10 minutes to visit the Grand Palace (with the Emerald Buddha) where you can witness the beautiful and immersive architecture.

After this, you will transfer by Tuk Tuk to visit Chatuchak Market (can visit only on weekends). There are many food strolls and you can enjoy your lunch there (own account). In the market, you will see many clothing stores, shoes, hand-made staff, and everything. You should try different scents of diffusers and you will love to take one as a souvenir back to your home.

place A visit to Mae Klong Railway Market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market + Chinatown

This morning, you are leaving Bangkok City for a while and you will visit the famous Mae Klong Railway Market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market to witness local foods and taste the flavors. Your guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and start driving to Mae Klong market in Samut Sakhon District. After driving for 1 hour and 30 minutes, you will reach the Mae Klong Railway Market or Hoop Rom Market, which is a local market in Samut Songkhram Province and one of the amazing Thailand attractions. The Maeklong Railway Market has lots of fresh seafood and it literally opens on the railway line. You will see how quickly the vendors rush to close their parasols and canvas, along with clearing all goods that will obstruct the coming train at a great speed.

Then, continue to the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where you will have local lunch there (own account). This market is where locals and tourists come to shop, eat, and absorb the atmosphere of Thailand's water markets. You will see a great selection of fresh finds, local foods, and unique items, and take a lunch break at a nice local restaurant there. After you had a great time at the market, will back to Bangkok with a scenic 2 hr drive. (7:30 AM - 2 PM)

In the evening is your chance to try different foods, snacks, desserts, and drinks of Thailand and yes, at the place of foodies' favorite, Chinatown. You will see street vendors selling a variety of foods and drinks including some fried insects like scorpions and bamboo worms. No worries, there are many more foods to try apart from insects, like rice noodle soups, pad Thai, fried rice noodles, som tam or papaya salad, grilled chicken or boiled pork, and raw prawn with lime (super spicy). Also, you can choose different types of drinks like Thai tea or coffee, a fresh squeeze of orange juice, or pomelo juice, and different local desserts, sweet and flavourful rice ball with coconut milk.

Your guide will introduce the Thai food culture and how these foods are made. You will see many people visit Chinatown after working hours to have dinner at the end of the day. Through the foods, you can learn a lot about their daily life and it's fun to taste spicy once you are here in Thailand. (6 PM – 8 PM)

Day 6

place Temple and Hill tribes in Chiang Mai & Cooking Class

Today, you will be driving up 3,500 feet above sea level to visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in the city. You then exercise your heart, lungs, and limbs (perfect for couch potatoes and those with beer bellies) by ascending the 306 steps to the temple, guarded by two magnificent Nagas (serpents) and constructed in 1383; this symbol of Chiang Mai contains the holy relic of the Lord Buddha which is enshrined in the magnificent, glowing golden pagoda. A bird's eye view of the entire city and the surrounding areas can be seen from the temple grounds.

Continue by local truck along a bumpy mountain road to visit the White Hmong hill tribe village. It's a scenic route. Migrants from China prefer to live in simple, isolated, and self-sustaining villages while preserving their primitive culture, ancient customs, and gorgeous embroidered costumes. Return back to town.

In the evening, you will have a fantastic experience of how to make local Thai Cuisine. The driver will pick you up at the hotel for the cooking class. Firstly, you will visit the local market to purchase fresh ingredients for the class as well as learn about tropical vegetation which is quite interesting! Then, drive to Baan Hong Nual which’s an open kitchen in Lanna Thai style and a place for today's cooking class. After a brief introduction, all students will be then given aprons and headdresses as cooking uniforms. Then, your English-speaking instructor will teach you step by step to cook traditional Thai cuisine. When the class is over, you all will enjoy the meal together and a cookbook in English version with pictures will be given to everyone. Then, transfer back to your hotel. Remark: This is a small group class.

Phuket is not just a busy tourist beach vacation, it has much more to offer in cultures and adventure. In the Phuket Old Town area, Thalang Road is lined with colorful 19th-century shophouses and Sino-Portuguese buildings. Built in 1903 by a wealthy tin merchant, the Baan Chinpracha mansion has Italian floor tiles, shuttered windows, and antique furniture. Stroll along the streets and you might have a short break at a nice atmosphere cafe.

After check-in at the hotel, it's your free time and no sightseeing today.

place Phi Phi Island, Bamboo Island, Pileh Lagoon, and Maya Beach by speedboat

This morning, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the meeting point at the pier. Check-in at the pier and we will welcome you with refreshing drinks and snacks. Depart from the pier around 9 AM for island hopping. This speedboat tour to Phi Phi Island also visits Bamboo Island and Shark Point Reef. This is just north of Phi Phi Don. You can either enjoy some relaxation and swimming on gorgeous Bamboo Island or go out to the huge coral reef for snorkeling among what some visitors describe as a dazzling array of tropical fish.

This is the most popular tour experience in Thailand and a "must" for first-time visitors to the Land of Smiles. Breathtaking limestone cliffs rise straight out of the emerald-green water. The Phi Phi's are 40 kilometers southern of Phuket in the Andaman Sea. The six islands included Phi Phi Don - home to the bohemian town of Phi Phi Islands, and Phi Phi Leh - the site of the spectacular Maya Bay which is famous for its role in the movie "The Beach". You will visit Monkey Beach before heading to Viking Cave. The Islands are laced with occasional powdery white beaches and coral reefs teeming with exotic life. They beckon you to unforgettable swimming and snorkeling in the clear tropical waters.

Note:

  • Sea conditions can affect the itinerary and on days with big waves, it may make it impossible to visit certain places safely. The decision on safety is taken as a group by all operators combined with information from the coastguard.
  • The Phi Phi Islands are open sea Islands and the speedboats do make snorkeling stops at reefs just off the coast. As it is an open sea, there are ocean currents that change depending on the time of day, these currents can be quite strong. It's very important to listen to the guide when instructing where is safe for snorkeling.
