Good morning in Amman, Jordan! After breakfast, we will start with a tour through the ancient city of Jerash that boasts as unbroken chain of human occupation dating back more than 6 500 years. The city’s golden age came under Roman rule, and the site is now generally acknowledged to be one of the best preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. 

Next we will start with a cultural walk through Amman. Built on 7 hills, now spreading on more than 20. It’s a big city with buildings made of white Jordanian limestone (as dictated by municipal law), Middle Eastern atmosphere and amazing views — to catch the best one, we will take you on the Citadel. You will see the whole city and Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace and the Archaeological and Folklore museums. 

Then, you will see the magnificent Roman Theatre. Afterward, you will enjoy a walk through the old city called “West Al Balad”. It has hundreds of shops, coffee shops and local restaurants. Wherever you shop, don’t be surprised if the shopkeeper offers you a cup of coffee while you decide on your purchase — it’s all part of the friendly, Jordanian shopping experience. Back to your hotel in Amman for overnight.

Continue to Mount Nebo, 800 m above sea level, where you can stand on the site where Moses looked out over the “Promised Land”. The magnificent mosaic is second only to Madaba’s world-famous mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Proceed to Madaba for overnight.

After breakfast, start the visit Madaba and the Basilica of St. George. In the floor of the church is the remarkable 6th century mosaic map; its two million pieces of colored stone depicting the hills, valleys and towns of the Holy land. 

Continue to The Dead Sea, that has a historical and spiritual legacy of its own. With much of the landscape virtually unchanged since ancient times, this is a favorite spot for a holiday drive. Spend the rest of your day sunbathing, swimming, and enjoy a mouthwatering lunch. Relax in the gently lapping waters and be amazed that you can’t sink! Treat yourself to a soothing massage, or try the well-known healing powers of minerals from the sea’s muddy floor.

Continue to visit the best-preserved crusader castle in Jordan — Shobak — and enjoy a Bedouin tea in Abu Ali Cave. Overnight in Petra.

After breakfast, head to visit the Rose Red city “Petra” the world wonder, which is Jordan’s most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled here more than 2000 years ago, turning it into an important junction for the silk, spice and other trade routes that linked China, India and southern Arabia with Egypt, Syria, Greece and Rome. 

Upon arrival, you will take a horseback ride through the Siq, the only access to this city. Visit the Treasury, Roman Theater, Royal Tombs, Court, Qasr Al Bent and the Church. Overnight in Wadi Musa.
