Day 1

place Start Your Peruvian Adventure in Historic Cusco

Welcome to the enchanting city of Cusco, the revered capital of the former Inca Empire, nestled in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. From the moment you land, our dedicated driver will be there to greet you warmly at the airport and ensure a comfortable transfer to your hotel.

As you settle in, take the opportunity to meander the ancient streets and alleys of Cusco, where the meticulous Inca stonework still forms the foundation of the city's majestic colonial and contemporary architecture. Cusco's vibrant history as South America's oldest continuously inhabited city will captivate you, offering insights into the impressive two-century-long Inca reign later overtaken by Spanish colonial endeavours.

This unique city, sitting at an elevation of 3,450 meters (11,150 ft), invites you to gently acclimate while soaking in its blend of culture, history, and architecture. Discover the city's splendid Baroque churches, sacred Incan temples, and the rich tapestry of traditions that thrive to this day.

Day 2

place ATV Quad Bike Adventure to Maras and Moray

Immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of the Sacred Valley with an action-packed 4x4 ATV tour. Command your quad bike with the freedom to navigate through the picturesque Andean landscapes, splattering across mud puddles and winding past idyllic fields and villages while inhaling the crisp mountain air. Today's adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation, whisking you off to the quaint village of Cruz Pata—your starting line for an off-road experience you won't soon forget.

Following a comprehensive safety briefing, rev up your engines and set out toward Moray, where the first marvel of your day awaits: the Incan circular crop terraces. These astoundingly engineered agricultural masterpieces symbolize the harmonious relationship between the Incan civilization and Pachamama, or Mother Earth. As you absorb these insights, you'll have time to explore the area on foot, connecting with centuries of history.

The journey continues to the Salineras, the age-old salt mines that have been a source of livelihood for generations. Observe the intricate salt extraction process and consider picking up some unique souvenirs—a tangible piece of this cultural heritage. Concluding your visit, your quad biking odyssey culminates with a ride back to Cruz Pata, where you'll relinquish your bike and gear before being comfortably shuttled back to Cusco. Please note, return times are approximate, and afternoon tours may contend with traffic delays on the return journey.

Day 3

place Discovering the Sacred Valley's Incan Wonders

Today, your Peruvian adventure takes you into the fertile heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Your exploration begins with a pause at El Mirador, a scenic overlook providing a panoramic view of the valley—an ancient landscape once vital to Incan prosperity due to its favourable climate and nourishing soil. As you gaze upon the vast terraces and irrigation channels carved into the mountainsides, our guide will share insights into Incan history and ensure you capture the perfect snapshots of this majestic scenery.

Progressing deeper into the valley, your next stop is the archaeological treasure of Pisac. Here, amidst the impressive stone work and expansive agricultural terraces, you'll delve into various facets of Incan culture. Afterward, meander through the bustling Pisac market where textiles burst with colour, local flavours tempt the palate, and traditional attire offers a tangible connection to indigenous legacies—ideal for those seeking authentic souvenirs.

Your journey continues downstream, paralleling the gracious Urubamba River, to reach the historically-rich town of Ollantaytambo. Famed for its intricate Incan urban planning and as the backdrop for one of the few Incan victories against the Spanish, Ollantaytambo's ruins stand as a formidable testament to Incan construction and spiritual reverence, underscored by the remarkable mountain visages said to honour Wiracocha.

Retreat back to Cusco, armed with a wealth of knowledge and cherished memories, to ready yourself for the next challenging phase: the Inca Trail. This afternoon, you'll attend a mandatory trek briefing, providing essential details on the route, guidance on what to pack, finalizing your pick-up service, and answering all your queries to set the stage for your upcoming trek.
