Day 12

place Aconcagua Experience

The mountains are calling! If you come to Mendoza you cannot miss the trekking to Confluencia, the base camp of one of the highest mountains in the world. In this exclusive day tour we will experience first hand the sensation of those who seek to reach the summit.

We will accompany you on a unique journey to the heart of the Andes Mountains, where you will discover wonderful landscapes and face the giant of America in an unforgettable experience.

We will pick you up at your accommodation very early in the morning to take advantage of the whole day. Together with an expert driver and a high mountain guide we will head towards the Aconcagua Provincial Park. In 2 hours of travel we will cross mountain villages; we will visit the Puente del Inca and then we will arrive at the Horcones Valley, where we will get ready to start the trekking. After listening to our guide’s recommendations and checking the equipment, we will take the first steps towards Confluencia. It will be about 4 hours of moderate hiking on a medium demanding route, we will climb from 2,800 to 3,400 meters above sea level.

Along the way we will be amazed by the incredible landscapes, the plentiful rivers of melting snow, the unique natural beauty of the meadows and the fauna of the place. Most likely we will see the condor, the sacred bird of the Andes, and all kinds of animals native to this wonderful place.

When we arrive at the first camp of the normal route to the summit, we will feel a special adrenaline rush. We will be able to walk around it while we are surprised by its surroundings and the imposing view of Almacenes Hill. The passion for the mountain transforms Confluencia into a unique scenario to share experiences with other travelers and climbers. Here we will enjoy a box lunch and then we will start our way back to the entrance of the park.

We will return to the city happy to have lived an unforgettable day on the highest mountain in America.

In one of the rest stops during the trekking, ask the guide to tell you about Aconcagua and the Incas. It is interesting to know the importance of the stone sentinel for that millenary culture.

Day 13

place Uco Valley wines

Join our excursion to Uco Valley and visit the north side of Mendoza. On this tour you will visit three of the most outstanding wineries in the world and end the day with a delicious lunch at a well-known winery restaurant. Share this experience with a small group of travelers and take advantage of the discounts!

The Uco Valley is located 115 km from the city of Mendoza and is the new wine region of the province. A combination of high altitude lands (900 to 1300 meters above sea level), alluvial soils, low rainfall (more than 250 sunny days a year) and high thermal amplitude, make the cultivation of the vine the main activity of the region and its wines a synonym of quality and elegance.

Accompanied by guides, we will enter the heart of this vast region and visit three outstanding wineries. In the first two wineries we will tour their facilities and be surprised by the different ways of winemaking in each place. We will also learn the secrets of this particular “terroir” that promises more mineral wines with more acidity, and the step-by-step on how to taste a great glass.

To complete this experience in Uco Valley we will head to another winery where we will enjoy an exquisite step paired lunch with the best wines of the region, surrounded by a beautiful setting overlooking the Andes.

Included: Semi private transfer service and bilingual guide, snack of handmade products in biodegradable packaging and mineral water, visit and tasting in 2 wineries, step paired lunch in 3rd winery, personal accident insurance.
