Arrival in Munich
Upon arrival in Munich, transfer to your hotel. Munich's Italianate architectural splendor and old-world charm adds a Southern European touch to the city. The Bavarian capital with more than 100 theaters and museums and a multi-ethnic community offers a very vivid cultural life. The annual Oktoberfest with more than six million visitors during sixteen days has turned into a global trademark. The city is home of BMW, MAN and Siemens and many high-tech and IT-companies. And it's just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Bavarian Alpine scenery. Come and explore Munich, enjoy its international atmosphere and the many genuine Bavarian locations and restaurants in town, and allow for some time in the enchanting countryside.

Neuschwanstein and Linderhof
Find out about the myth of King Ludwig II, the most enigmatic of the Bavarian Kings. Known for his affinity with extravagance and fine arts, he was called “The Fairy Tale King”. Herrenchiemsee and Linderhof castles are considered as his top architectural achievements. Neuschwanstein, a two-hours-drive from Munich, is the best known and, regarding its setting, most spectacular of the royal Bavarian castles. It served as inspiration for Walt Disney's fairy tale castles. Our route will take you through the beautiful Upper Bavarian landscape, offering you a great many impressions of the marvellous Alpine scenery. Following lunch, continue to Linderhof where you will enjoy a stroll through the magnificent gardens. It is the most intimate of Ludwig's castles. Back to Munich in the early evening.

Chiemgau, Salzburg, Hallstatt & Berchtesgaden
We will reach Chiemsee in the region of Chiemgau by a 1.5 hours drive, 110 km east of Munich. With weather conditions allowing, you will catch fine views of the marvellous Alpine scenery. Chiemsee is the largest lake in Bavaria and by the locals called the “Bavarian Sea”. We continue our journey to Salzburg. The magnificent Baroque city is world-famous for its great music tradition. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart spent his childhood and youth there, the town seems to reverberate with his work. On our leisurely walking tour we pass through Getreidegasse where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in 1756. Enjoy some free time during a lunch break at one of the coffee houses or have lunch at one of the local restaurants. In the afternoon, we will spend two hours at Hallstatt. The village is situated in a pictoresque location on the shores of a lake (Hallstätter See). In the late afternoon, we will head back to Germany for 1 overnight stay in the area of Berchtesgaden.
