Day 1

place Welcome to Chile!

Your English speaking guide picks you up at the airport and drives you to your hotel in Santiago. Follow your guide and discover a new facet of Santiago. As you walk around the city and meet people, you slip into the shoes of a real Santiaguino and head to the Plaza de Armas. You'll sneak into the often crowded subways to get to the emblematic Bellavista neighborhood. Then you observe the secret life inside the micros, local buses, at the often frantic pace and true urban atmosphere, and here you are at the hill of Santa Lucia, the green lung of Santiago. You hop in a collectivo, a collective cab, to discover the bohemian Barrio Italia neighborhood. Visit on foot. Choice of public transportation at the discretion of the guide.

Your driver brings you to the city of Valparaíso. Half day tour of Valparaíso and its old neighbourhoods, Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. This town is made of many hills crowned with picturesque houses and warehouses, steep narrow streets, lifts and street artists. You will discover this special atmosphere this place has. Seize the opportunity to have lunch in a typical seafood restaurant.

Day 3

place Fly to the Atacama desert!

Your driver picks you up at your hotel in Valparaíso and takes you to Santiago airport. Domestic flight from Santiago to Calama (2hours, optional flight). You will be privately transported from Calama airport to San Pedro de Atacama, a historic town and a charming oasis in the vast desert set against the spectacular backdrop of the Chilean Andes. Free afternoon: take your time to discover and wander around San Pedro de Atacama. What about a walk to thepre-Inca fortress Pukara de Quitor? A half-hour walk away from San Pedro, this antique city was the scene of bloody confrontations between Spanish conquistadors and the Atacama native population, who resisted for several years. Behind the majestic ruins, a paths goes up a hill that overlooks San Pedro. From there, enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire valley and its surrounding volcanoes.

Day 4

place Moon and Rainbow valleys

Today leave for a half-day tour to discover one of the most famous sites of the Atacama Desert: la Valle de la Luna, the Moon valley. To avoid the crowds at the end of the day and for an exclusive experience, your guide will pick you up in the morning. Explore with your expert guide the Moon valley and its treasures: the salt caves, the Amphitheatre, the Great Sand Dune, and the Three Marys. Then reach la Valle de la Muerte, the Death valley, for an easy hike and to visit the Coyote Stone. A full and fun morning to learn more about the geologic specificities of the place. Return to your hotel in the late morning. Meeting point at the beginning of the afternoon on calle Caracoles. Your guide takes you first to the traditional Rio Grande village and tells you all about the pre Inca Lican Antai culture. Then you head to the Valle del Arcoiris, the rainbow valley, to explore its canyons and caves. While you go for an easy hike to discover ancient petroglyphs, your guide explains the geology and anthropology specificity of this magical place. End the day with a beautiful sunset over the Salt Cordillera. At the end of the afternoon, you are transfered back to your hotel.

Day 5

place Salar de Aguas Calientes

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in the early morning for a day full of discoveries. First, visit the small village of Toconao with its church, its town square, and a traditional house in which you discover the local products and handicrafts. The house llamas are friendly enough for an impromptu photoshoot! Then head to the Miscanti y Miñiques lagunas in the altiplano for the first meal of your day. While you are enjoying this unique buffet breakfast, your guide will tell you more about volcanoes creation, lagunas and the whole Andes Cordillera geology. You then visit the Salar de Aguas Calientes and start an easy hike in Talar Salar. Your guide will drive you to the Argentinan border to discover the little known Laguna Tuyajto. Lunch break in a traditional restaurant in Socaire village. You will learn all about the prehispanic culture of the place and its famous church. Put on your swimsuit and relax in the natural pool of Peine while sipping a typical cocktail before heading to the Chaxa Laguna for an epic sunset. While the sun goes down, your guide tells you everything about the fauna and flora of this Laguna. Return to your hotel in the early evening.

Day 6

place Tatio geysers

Your guide picks you up early in the morning at your hotel for an exciting adventure. Reach the Tatio Geysers and its famous fumaroles, and enjoy a delicious breakfast at more than 4000m high. Then head to a more exclusive place, the White Geysers, where you can have a dip into its hot water river. Next stop: Guatin and the Quebrada de Cardones. You start an easy hike through its canyon and quickly understand the place nickname: the Cactus Valley. You finish this full morning with the traditional village of Machuca. Return to your hotel in the early afternoon.

Your driver picks you up at your hotel and drives you tothe bus station of San Pedro de Atacama. Regular bus from San Pedro de Atacama to Purmamarca in Argentina. You arrive at your hotel by your own means.

place Road trip: Purmamarca - Tilcara - Humahuaca - Salta

Pick up your rental car in Purmamarca: vehicle type 4x2 Duster or Ecosport or similar (category E) Free km. Compulsory Insurance Included. Suggested itinerary: A quiet day-start to enjoy the "Cerro de los 7 Colores" and the village of Purmamarca. Departure to hit the Andean road, arriving after twenty kilometres to Pucará Tilcara, a pre-Hispanic Omaguaca village founded over 900 years ago. We visit the village and the remarkable collection housed in its museum including mummies, funeral vases, jewellery and other objects found in archaeological sites in the Northwest of Argentina. We continue north to Humahuaca, located at 2940masl, one of the most important trade centres in times of the Vice Regency of Peru. Then we go south all the way to San Salvador de Jujuy and include a visit to the Huacalera chapel which dates back to 1655 and was restored in 1944. We reach Salta during the afternoon. 307 km – 4 hours

place Visit Salta - Road trip: Salta - Cachi

Free time to visit the city Suggestion: Salta, capital of the province of the same name, is located at an altitude of 1187m at the foot of Mount San Bernardo. The capital of Salta was founded on 16 April 1582 by Hernando de Lerma. Colonial-style houses stand alongside modern buildings. From the historical buildings, you will visit the 19th century cathedral and the Cabildo, which houses the picturesque Historical Museum of the North. We advise you to go up to the "Cerro San Bernardo" in order to enjoy a panoramic view of Salta. Then, do not hesitate to discover the very interesting MAAM museum (Museo Archelogia de Alta Montaña) which exhibits in particular mummies found at an altitude of more than 6000 metres.Note: Maam Museum closed on Mondays You can go to the Mercado Municipal San Miguel with its local colours between its fruit, vegetable and spice merchants from the northwest. We also invite you to visit the Guemes Museum, a recent and very interesting museum dedicated to the hero of Salta and the history of the city. Suggested itinerary: Departure to Cachi, located at 2200masl, at 157km from Salta. We drive through spectacular landscapes such as those offered by the Piedra del Molino mountain pass at 3,600 meters, the Quebrada de Escoipe, a deep gorge where the green of the woods contrasts with the ochre of the soil on the bare mountains of “Cuesta del Obispo” and Los Cardones National Park composed of stark expanses scattered with candelabrum-shaped cacti... Cachi is a tranquil Andean native village featuring low whitewashed houses and the San José Church with its sculpted roof of cactus-wood dating back to the eighteenth century. We visit the small archaeological museum which has a wonderful collection of pre-Inca and Inca ceramics, especially those pertaining to the Santa María culture. Estimated route: 157 km including 70 km of track - 3h30

place Road trip: Cachi - Molinos - Cafayate

Departure by rental car to the small village of Molinos, which dates back to 1659 and has a majestic church with a cardoon (cactus) roof, San Pedro Nolasco de los Molinos, and the elegant farmhouse La Hacienda de Molinos, which dates back to the last governor of the city of Salta. We leave Molinos to reach Cafayate by crossing the majestic "Quebrada de las Flechas", surrounded by a mysterious lunar landscape. White dunes announce the proximity of Cafayate, the most important town in the Calchaquies valleys, whose economy is based on the wine industry. We recommend that you enjoy a glass of local wine. Estimated route: 165 km including 138 km of track - 5h

place From Cafayate to Buenos Aires

We travel to Salta through the “Quebrada de las Conchas” which undoubtedly offers the visitor one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Northwest of Argentina, with its imposing semi-desert mountains featuring multi-colored rock formations sculpted by erosion. A century-old sight conceived by nature for our benefit! Estimated route: 197km - 3h Return your vehicle to the airport. Domestic flight Salta - Buenos Aires*. *National or international airport depending on time schedule and availability. Transfer from Buenos Aires domestic airport to your hotel in a private vehicle.

Day 12

place City Tour of Buenos Aires

Visit Buenos Aires (full day, private tour). Buenos Aires, a cosmopolitan city with European features, is among the 10 most active cities in the world. City of arts, cultures, theatres, traditions ... The variety satisfies even the most demanding visitor. You visit the 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest in the world, dominated by the Obelisk, a symbol of Buenos Aires. You will pass the Colon Theatre, one of the jewels of the Argentine architecture. Then you arrive to the famous or central Plaza de Mayo, next to buildings such as the Casa Rosada or Casa de Gobierno, the Cabildo and the Cathedral. You continue with the picturesque neighbourhood of La Boca, and specifically the alley El Caminito, the spot for painters, tango dancers and singers. In the early afternoon, we drive to the San Telmo antique shops, and visit the National Museum of History. This museum traces the highlights of Argentine history since independence. Return to the hotel in late afternoon.

place Head to Patagonia

Transfer from your hotel to Buenos Aires Domestic Airport in a private vehicle. Domestic flight Buenos Aires* - Calafate. *National o international airport depending on time schedule and availability. Transfer from El Calafate Airport to your hotel in a private vehicle. Free day in El Calafate. Enjoy your free time to try one of the following activities: - Visit the "Laguna Nimez" Natural Reserve to enjoy the wilderness and observe the flamingos and the 80 other species of birds living there. This is an easy, 20-minute walk from the city center - duration of the visit: 2 hours. - Visit the Interpretive Center which covers various themes such as paleontology, geology, anthropology and history. - Rent an electric bike to explore the city. - Have a drink downtown at the ice bar.

Day 14

place Los Glaciares National Park

Transfer from the hotel in El Calafate to Punta Bandera. Boarding at 9:00 at the private port "La Soledad". The route starts northwest and crosses Punta Avellana and Boca del Diablo, the narrowest part of the lake (800 m). After two hours of sailing, the constant parade of icebergs with varied forms and colours, shows that you are getting closer to the glacier Upsala. The boat will stop along the barrier of ice, which at the moment prohibits the entrance to the Upsala channel, but if the weather conditions are good, you will be able to contemplate the Upsala Glacier. Then going south, the ship will sail into the canal that leads to the Spegazzini glacier, with faces measuring up to 135 m above the lake level. A gourmet lunch will be served in this wonderful landscape. During the afternoon, the cruise reaches Puesto de las Vacas, a very quiet bay of the Spegazzini channel. You will then go ashore and enjoy an interesting ride supervised by our team of guides. You can also enjoy some of the beautiful views on the Spegazzini glacier. Then you resume your journey along the north arm, to reach the private port "La Soledad" at 6 pm. Arrival in El Calafate around 7:30 pm.

Day 15

place Immersion in a Patagonian Estancia

Pick-up at your hotel at 8:30 a.m. to go to the Estancia Nibepo Aike. The Estancia was founded by a Yugoslavian pioneer named Don Santiago Peso, who settled on this land at the beginning of the twentieth century. Nestled in thevery midst of the Los Glaciares National Park, the estancia lives off cattle farming, both bovine and ovine. During your visit, you will learn more about the estancia’s farming activities as you will see the traditional sheering demonstration and other daily activities. You will have the opportunity to participate in a traditional asado for lunch. Day in pool service with local English-speaking guide.

place Perito Moreno Glacier

At 8 am, your private transfer picks you up at your hotel to take you to the Perito Moreno Glacier, 80km away from El Calafate. This full-day excursion allows you to thoroughly enjoy the exceptional natural surroundings. Take in the panoramic views from the footbridges : you are facing the whole glacier and its surrounding lenga beech forest. Return trip to El Calafate around 4:30pm. Nautical Safari tour included (1h): From the port located at Refugio Argentino, embark on an hour-long navigation to enjoy the southern face of the Glacier that can be 70 meters high.
