Day 1

place Welcome to Dubrovnik!

Welcome to the town best known as "The Pearl of the Adriatic." Upon arrival at the airport, you'll transfer to your hotel for check-in. After a short rest, in the early afternoon, you will participate in the Game of Thrones walking tour. A piece of history, Dubrovnik is one of the most ancient fortress cities in Europe. And while there's evidence of settlements as far back as the Byzantine era, this area only came into its own as an important power since the 13th century due in part to its strategic coastal position. After spending some time getting to know the city, duck into one of Dubrovnik's many wine bars to relax. It's a good plan, as there's no better manner in which to celebrate your first day in Croatia than by enjoying a glass of white or red wine as the sun goes down over Dubrovnik's Old Town. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Accommodation:

  • 3-star and 4-star hotels: Hotel Lero, or similar
Day 2

place Dubrovnik to Split, via Ston

Set out today to transfer along the coast to central Dalmatia and the city of Split. Depending on your preferences, you can either decide to self-drive or go by private transfer, an additional service we offer on request. En route, you'll stop at the edge of the Pelješac peninsula to spend a little time in Ston. Ston is a small medieval town, and one of the very rare 100% planned and built Croatian cities. Upon arrival, you will definitely notice one of Ston trademarks which is Ston city walls. City walls are the longest fortified system in Europe and we suggest walking it! Apart from the walls, 2 other things that Ston is known for are oysters and mussels, and the Salt plant. Oysters and mussels have been grown here since Roman times. In the same period, Romans were producing the salt, and after the area was taken over by the Dubrovnik Republic, they built the oldest active salt plant on the whole Mediterranean. Apart from hiking the wall, your activity today will be kayaking in Mali Ston Bay. The bay is a Park of Nature and it has a certain level of protection because local oysters that are very important for the local population. You will kayak around the oyster farm and little islets in the bay. At the same time, you can enjoy the view of the City Walls of Ston, from the unique perspective from the kayaks! When you're ready, continue your journey up the coast and further north to your final destination, where you'll check into your hotel and settle in before taking the rest of the afternoon to wander Split's historic center. In the evening, take a stroll along Split's seafront Riva to admire the views over the Adriatic before finding the offbeat Konoba Dioklecijan restaurant, just to the left of the Bronze Gate for dinner, its outdoor terrace built into the walls of famed Diocletian's Palace. Overnight in Split.

We will provide you with a map and the entrance fees. In the afternoon, you can visit Zadar, an ancient city, full of historical and cultural monuments. It is three thousand years old, a city of tumultuous and dynamic history, often destroyed, looted, devastated, every time emerging from the ruins stronger, richer, and more beautiful.
