Day 1

place Arrival Day

Meet and greet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our representatives and receive a short introduction and briefing about your safari. After the briefing you will depart for Samburu National Reserve by road with a stop at the equator line, home to the rare and exotic wildlife species such as the Gerenuk, Rothschild Giraffe, Gravy’s Zebra, endangered Samburu monkeys, Beisa Oryx and large elephant herds arriving in Samburu in time for check in and lunch. After lunch depart for afternoon game drives within the park. Samburu National Reserve is situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro River in the dry northern Kenya. It is located in a hot and arid area characterized by a parched landscape of hills and plains. The combination of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp is home to a wide variety of wildlife.

Day 2

place Visit Samburu community

Morning drive into Samburu village with warm welcoming by Samburu songs and dances you will enjoy a Samburu breakfast served in calabashes. You will then visit few homesteads and learn about the family compositions, which include roles of genders, age sets, Samburu attires, decorations of beads and plaiting of women and Morans (warriors), the uses of Samburu artifacts and much more. You will have your lunch within the village driving back to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

place Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

Early morning game drive before breakfast, after breakfast you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park to be there in time for lunch and an evening game drive at 16:00hrs, besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for; there are approx 400 other species of birds in the lake, Also many species of game found in the park including the introduced Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.

Day 4

place Maasai Mara National Reserve

Today after breakfast, you will depart to the Mara Reserve, home to the big five and numerous plains game. You will arrive in time for check in and lunch before departing for afternoon game drives. Optional activities include hot air balloon safari, guided nature walks, bush lunch/dinner/breakfast, bird walks, and evening sundowner.

Day 5

place Full day in Masaai Mara Game Reserve

Take an extensive full day game drive into the reserve covered with rolling grasslands dotted with acacia and hazy forested hills and riverline bush where the Mara River and its tributaries meander, Maasai Mara is considered by many to be Kenya's finest game reserve, the 1510 sq Kms of this reserve adjoin Tanzania's well-known Serengeti, forming one eco-system. The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topis, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. From June to October, the annual Wildebeest migration takes place when thousands of these animals sweep across the plain and seek out new grazing areas, a full day game drive with picnic lunch at the hippo pool on the banks of the Mara River were the crossing of the Gnus [wildebeests] takes place while the killer crocodiles awaits will be the best experience ever. {You can have an early morning balloon safari at an Extra cost of USD 450 per person before proceeding for the day game drive}

Day 6

place Visit Maasai Community

Drive to a Maasai village (Manyatta) to meet a Maasai clan and enjoy the warm welcome of women and Moran (warriors) songs. This day will be spent experiencing Maasai social life, traditional governance, rites of passage and economic lifestyle (mainly surrounded by keeping of huge herds of cattle). You will spend time with women in the morning while making the beads, Morans during their cattle herding in the midday and elders in the evening. You will have your lunch with in the village driving back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

place Lake Naivasha “A Walk on the Wild Side”

After breakfast, mid-morning game drive then leave for Lake Naivasha which is the highest Lake in The Rift Valley arriving late afternoon. Lake Naivasha is famous in the 1930’s as a staging post for Imperial Airways Flying Boat Services from Durban to London and you can see the Lake sparkling in the sun thousands of feet below. Proceed to the Sopa Lodge for lunch with a visit to the Hell’s Gate National Park past Fishers Tower in the afternoon. You will visit the Geothermal Power Plant at Ol Karia and the Hot Springs. Hell’s gate is the only park that officially allows transport by walking and bicycling. The small perimeters of the park give you a chance to see a variety of wildlife.

Day 8

place Amboseli National Park

Today after breakfast, you will depart for Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa's highest mountain; Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya's most popular national parks arriving in good time for lunch with afternoon game drive. It lies 150 miles south-east of Nairobi, very close to the Tanzania border. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds dominates every aspect of Amboseli and the Observation Hill which allows an overall view of the whole park especially the swamps and elephants.

Day 9

Day 13

place Shimba hills

After breakfast in your hotel, depart to Shimba hills ecosystem to meet a youth group in one of the mijikenda communities known as Digo. The group is working towards conservation of forest; you will have a walk in their educational nature trails then go into the village where you will join in Digo women dances and songs after which you will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the coconut spices under coconut trees shades. With Afternoon, visit to Mwaluganje elephant’s sanctuary an initiative by the community members and KWS to conserve elephants, drive back to your hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight your hotel.

Day 14

place Back to Nairobi

Early morning breakfast then depart for Moi International Airport for your flight to Nairobi departing at 8.00a.m. arriving at 8.50a.m., on arrival you will have a Nairobi City Tour before proceeding for lunch at the Nairobi Carnivore followed by shopping in the afternoon before airport transfer for your flight back home. Experience Kenya with a carver at Carnivore, The Charcoal Grill Pit Ranked among the top 50 Restaurants in the world, the world famous Carnivore is a must for anyone who loves Barbeque. This is a Barbeque with a difference in that not only do they serve your normal beef, pork and chicken but Game meat as well. Giraffe, Gnu, Zebra, Crocodile, Hartebeest and Ostrich are some of the specials that you will find on the menu. The meat is Barbequed on a huge charcoal BBQ right at the entrance to the restaurants. The meat comes with special sauces which are Carnivores secret. Carnivore is an all you can eat restaurant and you are guaranteed very good wining and dining. Lunch starts at 1pm while dinner is served from 7pm. We allow adequate time here to sample all the excellent cuisine on offer. The tour runs for 2 hrs. You will be talking about it for a long time to come!! The restaurant is voted as one of the top 50 best restaurants in the world. It's recommended for dinner at start or end of your safari or a treat out from your hotel. A wide variety of vegetarian dishes are also available. Don't afford to miss!!!!
