Day 1

place Fly to Paro, explore Thimphu

Transfer to the airport in Nepal and fly 1-hour to Paro. A spectacular descent through mountainous valleys brings you into the Kingdom of Bhutan. In Paro, you will be received by your Bhutanese guide and after clearing customs and visa control you are transferred to your hotel. A short picturesque drive about 2 hours along the valley brings you to the capital of Bhutan, Thimpu. After lunch at a local restaurant, start your sightseeing with a visit to the Textile Museum, a traditional paper-making factory, and the post office to see Bhutan’s beautiful stamps which also depict the country’s myths, traditions, and culture. Alternatively, you can choose less formal sightseeing and simply walk around the town with your guide. Overnight at hotel. Meal: Lunch and Dinner

The legend has it that Guru Rimpoche is said to have flown to the site of the monastery on the back of a tigress from Tibet and meditated in the cave for three months.
