Day 1

place Montélimar to Grignan

You arrive at the railway station of Montelimar and meet your E-bike specialist. Provision of Electrically Assisted Bikes, explanations, and first contacts with the material. The first step of your trip at the gates of Provence takes place over 46km right in the heart of the Drôme Provençale, from Montelimar and its nougat up to Grignan and the castle of the Marquise de Sevigné. Your roadbook will take you from passes and hilltop villages to the most beautiful views. Arrive at the hotel in Grignan at the end of the afternoon. Near the center of the hilltop village surrounded by lavender in summer, your accommodation managed to keep its original charm while adding the comfort deserved after this first bicycle step. It is time for laying around the pool ... or discover the region through its cultural highlights. At the restaurant, home cooking gives an important place to the southern flavors and fragrances, around vegetables, olive oil, Lamb, Picodon (provencal cheese), thyme, sage, rosemary, savory, oregano... Products are mainly organic and local. Dinner in the village and overnight at the accommodation. Stages: Montélimar - Grignan 46km Briefing & introduction by your e-bike specialist Enjoy a 3-course menu (starter, main plate, dessert) in Grignan at the L'eau ˆà la bouche Restaurant.

place Grignan to Vaison la Romaine

From Grignan you follow several small roads away from the summery tourism flow. Just before riding the plateau, you cross the "Enclave des Papes", a Vaucluse corner in Drôme county dating from the time when the popes were still living in Avignon. On the plateau of Vinsobres, among vineyards and lavenders in summer, the Mont Ventoux on the horizon becomes your new landmark. The village of Vinsobres, with its burlesque name, is known for its Côtes-du-Rhône Cru... no better place for a wine tasting at the local bistrot! (not included) You finally reach Vaison-la-Romaine, known for its Gallo Romans vestiges and wines. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Stages: Grignan-Vaison la Romaine 58km Check-up with the e-bike specialists' team in Vaison In Valréas, the MontPlaisir Estate stands majestically in the heart of unspoiled nature typical of Provence, where organic vines rub shoulders with lavender and olive trees. Perched at an altitude of 500 meters on the Vinsobres plateau, the vines give birth to three red cuvées, a pink cuvée, and a white cuvée. With Benoit, the owner, you will visit the altitude plots on the Vinsobres plateau (30 km trip by car), and taste 3 wines at the château. (Shared activity - 2 people minimum)

You cross some of the most beautiful villages in France, such as Montbrun-les-Bains and its Thermal Spa. Here we invite you to take a break and relax in the outside jacuzzis of Montbrun. After the Spa session (end around 5-6pm as you need another hour of cycling to reach the accommodation), the electric assistance allows you to pass the small passes and make short steps before you relax in the charming accommodation we have selected in Sault.
