Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to the selected hotel. Half Day Tour to Rio Vermelho District In the afternoon, we leave the hotel for a half-day tour of the Rio Vermelho district. Jorge Amado was one of Brazil's most renowned writers and several of his works were adapted for film, theatre and television. His books have been published in 55 countries and translated into 49 languages. But above all, he described Bahia as a person, detailing the typical customs and valuing the miscegenation of the population, as well as contradictions in their free and conservative way. This tour will take you to Casa Rio Vermelho, where Jorge Amado and his wife lived with their family. You will also visit the house of Yemanjá (goddess of the sea) and the fishermen's colony. Finally, at approximately 6 pm, we will have dinner at one of the local restaurants to enjoy its cuisine.

Half day Historical tour in Salvador de Bahía
Breakfast at the hotel. Half day Historical tour in Salvador de Bahía. The historical center of Salvador was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985 and was rehabilitated in 1993. It is a faithful sample of Brazil during the colonial period. The neighborhood is divided into four sections: Terceiro de Jesus, Maciel, Carmo and Largo do Pelourinho. The latter is located in the upper city and is considered to be the historical heart of the city since most of Salvador's historical monuments (cathedrals, churches and convents) are located there. During the tour we will discover the different constructions that stand out for their history, architecture and decoration. During the visit, we will have the possibility to taste an artisanal ice cream (acarajé).
