Day 1

place Airport Transfer & Rio Vermelho District

Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to the selected hotel. Half Day Tour to Rio Vermelho District In the afternoon, we leave the hotel for a half-day tour of the Rio Vermelho district. Jorge Amado was one of Brazil's most renowned writers and several of his works were adapted for film, theatre and television. His books have been published in 55 countries and translated into 49 languages. But above all, he described Bahia as a person, detailing the typical customs and valuing the miscegenation of the population, as well as contradictions in their free and conservative way. This tour will take you to Casa Rio Vermelho, where Jorge Amado and his wife lived with their family. You will also visit the house of Yemanjá (goddess of the sea) and the fishermen's colony. Finally, at approximately 6 pm, we will have dinner at one of the local restaurants to enjoy its cuisine.

It is a faithful sample of Brazil during the colonial period. The neighborhood is divided into four sections: Terceiro de Jesus, Maciel, Carmo and Largo do Pelourinho. The latter is located in the upper city and is considered to be the historical heart of the city since most of Salvador's historical monuments (cathedrals, churches and convents) are located there. During the tour we will discover the different constructions that stand out for their history, architecture and decoration. During the visit, we will have the possibility to taste an artisanal ice cream (acarajé).

Afterwards, we will have lunch at a restaurant in the national park, and then we will continue with our tour of the falls. Half Day tour to the Iguazu Falls: Argentinean side. We will walk along the different footbridges, where we will have fascinating views and experience multiple sensations. This hill is over 700 meters high and owes its name to the shape of the mountain that rises above the city. There we will be able to appreciate the immense statue of Christ the Redeemer, which was inaugurated in 1931. The statue, with its open arms, symbolizes the good reception and hospitality of the Brazilian people. From here we will have a spectacular view of the whole city. Then, we will continue our tour to visit a Samba School. One of the most famous carnivals in the world is that of Rio de Janeiro. It is considered the biggest Brazilian cultural manifestation and a celebration where everybody interacts and has fun. Rio's Carnival is a celebration and also a competition between different samba schools. Each one shows incredible productions in a wonderful parade that can be seen in the Sambódromo. This tour is a behind-the-scenes look at the carnival. The guide will tell us the history of Samba and Carnival.
