Day 1

place Welcome to Argentina! Buenos Aires City Tour and Southern Neighborhoods (-/-/-)

You will be transferred to the hotel in the neighborhood of San Telmo. For this first day, you can discover the neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, stroll through the antique shops in the San Telmo Market and enjoy the tango dancers in Plaza Dorrego. In the afternoon, a specialist in History and Architecture of the city will accompany you to discover the colorful streets of Caminito in the neighborhood of La Boca. Then you will continue to the historic center of the city: Plaza de Mayo, the Cabildo, and return to San Telmo. 4 hours Walking tour with English speaking guide included (public transportation tickets included)

Day 2

place Northern Neighborhoods bike tour & Milonga Night (B/-/D)

An expert guide will accompany you cycling the northern neighborhoods of the capital city. Tour through the aristocratic neighborhood of Recoleta, the Plaza San Martín area, the forests and lakes of Palermo, and the Rose Garden located in the center of one of the biggest green areas of the city. 4 hours tour with English speaking guide, bike and helmet included. It does not require previous training. The perfect combination of two local cultural icons. You will enjoy the most emblematic Buenos Aires musical genre and the most popular gastronomic tradition, the Asado (or barbecue) like the locals do. An Asado master will explain the different cuts, wines, and traditions while we share the night with other people. Afterward, a tango expert will introduce us to the wonderful world of tango, enjoying an authentic milonga. After the milonga, we'll drop you off at your hotel. The excursion begins at 19h45. Duration: 4h15 approx. Group excursion, with English-speaking guide

Day 3

place Horseback ride in rural village (B/L/D)

Early in the morning, a private transfer will pick you up in front of your hotel, and drive you to Buenos Aires countryside, the legendary “Pampa”!. Arrival at the small and peaceful town of Carlos Keen, you will be greeted with a “mate” (typical local infusion) Then you will go to the stable where the horses are and see how a horse is saddled in the style of the Pampa to later leave for two hours on horseback. You will enjoy a home-made lunch (regional food with drinks) and have free time to relax before returning to the town (with the horses of course) Private vehicle from Buenos Aires to Carlos Keen + transfer to San Antonio de Areco town. Horseback riding, lunch and guide included. In the afternoon, a private vehicle will drive you to El Ombú, a traditional “Estancia” (the name given to a ranch in Argentina) that has opened its doors to travelers and allows them to discover the rural culture of Argentina. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4

place San Antonio de Areco tour and overnight stay at Estancia El Ombú (B/L/D)

Pick you up at the Estancia around 9 am and transfer to San Antonio de Areco, home of gaucho traditions. Your guide will receive you in this charming town, known as “the rural traditions capital”. He will take you on a tour to discover the picturesque streets of the historic center, the San Antonio de Padua church, ancient pulperías, century-old gaucho bars, the renowned Draghi silversmith’s museum and local craftsmen’s workshops of the town. You will have a well-deserved traditional lunch in town. In the afternoon, your guide will invite you on a short walk to discover the Old Bridge (emblem of San Antonio de Areco), the Areco River, and the famous Gauchesco Ricardo Güiraldes museum. Around 4 pm, we’ll take you back to the Estancia. Your time at the estancia includes activities, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 5

place Gauchos lifestyle and back to Buenos Aires (B/L/-)

You’ll have breakfast then enjoy a leisurely morning at the Estancia to do what you like. If you wish, the Estancia’s gauchos will accompany you on a scenic horseback or carriage ride through fields and herds of cows. For lunch, you’ll enjoy a delicious “Asado”, under the shade of ancient trees. In the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to watch an impressive equestrian demonstration performed by Argentine cowboys, and if you feel like it, you’ll also be welcome to join in the traditional dances accompanied by “guitarreada” (Argentinian guitar play). You’ll then have the rest of the afternoon to relax and enjoy your surroundings. At 4 pm, you leave for Buenos Aires by private car. Activities at the Estancia and lunch included. Private vehicle.
