On arrival at the Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and transferred to the Cloud Nine Boutique Hotel & Spa. Here you will spend the next (3) nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Clould Nine is ideally situated in the shadow of the Table Mountain and in the trendy neighbourhood of Kloof and Long Streets known for its many cafes, restaurants and pubs. On this first day, your time is your own. Explore the area’s see gracious 18th century buildings, local art galleries and museums. Maybe enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the street-side cafes as you watch the city move around you.

This morning after your breakfast, you will be taken on your full day Cape Peninsula Tour, including entry fees. (Lunch will be for your own account). The Cape Peninsula is an exceptionally scenic tour that tracks the coastal road all the way around the peninsula to the Cape Point, and back via Muizenberg and the Kirstenbosch Gardens. Some of the highlights include the preciptous Chapmans Peak Drive, the Boulders Beach with its African penguins and the many quaint seaside villages with ever present sea views on one side and mountains on the other.

In the early morning we will collect you from the hotel for a scenic two-hour drive to the quaint fishing village of Gaansbaai. Our activity for the day is a shark cage diving experience to witness the great white shark. After a safety talk, you will board the boat for the ride to ‘shark alley’. ‘Shark alley’ is a channel of water that runs between Geyser and Dyer Islands. This zone is considered to be one of the best great white shark observation areas in the world. The sharks are present all year but during the winter months (June to September) they are more common as migrating great whites spend a few months hanging out around Dyer Island which is home to a colony of Cape fur seals - a great white’s favourite meal. Sharks as well as marine birdlife and marine mammals like seals, dolphins, penguins and, in-season, southern right whales can also be seen from the deck of the boat. A light lunch and necessary safety equipment are included.

This morning early after your breakfast, you will be transferred back to the Cape Town International Airport, where you will board your early flight to Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. On arrival in Hoedspruit, you will be met and transferred to the Khaya Ndlovu Manor House, where you will spend (1) night on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Khaya Ndlovu Manor House is located on a small koppie (hill) overlooking the bushveld and Klein Drakensberg Mountains, in the Blue Canyon Conservancy. An ideal location from which to explore the Hoedspruit area.

This morning very early before sunrise, you will be collected and taken to the launch field where you will watch the crew getting a hot air balloon ready for your 1 hour hot air balloon sunrise flight over the area. Upon landing you will be transferred by road to a lodge for a full breakfast and certificates. From here you will be transferred by road to the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve where you check in at the Shindzela Tented Safari Camp for (2) nights on a fully inclusive basis. Included in your stay are: Accommodation, all meals, twice daily game viewing activities (can be morning game drive or morning walking safari and an afternoon game drive), mineral water from the dispensing machine, tea / coffee, unlimited Wi-Fi and the services of professional guides and camp staff. Shindzela, named after the honey badger in the Shangaan language, is an unfenced tented camp within the world-renowned Timbavati Private Game Reserve forming part of the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa. Our safari style tents are situated under thatch (grass roof) structures and can be made up in either twin or double-bedded accommodation. Enjoy your morning coffee on your wooden deck or freshen up in your semi open en-suite bathroom (shower, W.C. and hand-basin)

Today is spent on safari enjoying twice daily game viewing and a bit of relaxation in the bush! Shindzela is located in the Timbavati Nature Reserve that adjoins the Kruger National Park and is home to an abundance of wildlife including the Big 5. This tented camp runs on solar powered lights and the hot/cold shower is regulated by gas geysers. The camp has a plunge pool and is unfenced and as such has regular movement of game through it.

This morning after your game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred back to the Eastgate Airport, where you will board your flight back to the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg in time for your outbound flight back home. (Flight at own arrangements). Alternatively we can add some time in Victoria Falls or maybe a safari in Botswana… the options are wide open to explore more of Southern Africa!
