Day 1

place Rio de Janeiro

Arrive at the Rio de Janeiro airport and transfer to our hotel located in Copacabana. We'll soon start to understand why Rio de Janeiro has been called the Wonderful City, or Magnificent City, for over a century. It's inspired by artists and composers from all over the world. The city's unique beauty, rich culture, and geographical diversity with mountains, tropical forests, and stunning beaches provide the perfect setting for adventurous travelers. Explore the local culture, be active, taste the local cuisine, and experience the arts. There's a lot to see and do here. Overnight at your accommodation.

Day 2

place Rio de Janeiro

This morning we’ll go to the Corcovado. After reaching the mountain base we'll go up by train through the beautiful and lush nature of the Tijuca Forest. The Corcovado is 710 meters high and is one of the most famous hills in Brazil and the world for its Cristo Redentor statue, 38 meters high and one of the seven wonders of the MODERN world. Here we'll have a fantastic panoramic view of the city. Then we go back to the train to return to the base and right after we take a panoramic tour along Rio’s South beaches until arriving at the hotel. Free lunchtime. In the afternoon we'll have a carnival experience! Nothing more representative of Brazil than the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro; a big event that takes place every year bringing people from all over the world. The colors, the music, and costumes parade before our eyes spread the joy and warmth of the Brazilian people. On this experience, we’ll take a guided visit to the Cidade do Samba, a special place that concentrates many sheds where samba schools make their allegories. We will meet the Acadêmicos da Grande Rio, one of the major samba schools of the City, we will learn a bit about the history of samba and carnival parades. We will also wear costumes and take pictures, and those who want it can still enjoy a welcome caipirinha! With this tour, you will get to know the origins of this world-known festivity, visiting the Sambadrome (Carnaval stadium) and its cultural center; the revitalized port area where the samba has its roots, including a visit to the historical site Pedra do Sal, where the samba started, familiarize with the African-Brazilian culture, the period of slavery and all the pillars that have supported the modern-day Carnival. Then, we return to our hotel. Overnight at your accommodation.

Day 3

place Pão de Açúcar and Rio de Janeiro City Tour

We will visit the Pão de Açúcar lookout with the best views of the city of Rio de Janeiro. We will go up and down of the Pão de Açúcar in the traditional cable railway. After that, we will go on a panoramic City Tour, through the Maracana, the most popular soccer stadium in the world, and the Sambadrome, an area specially built for the parade of samba schools that parade every year during Carnival. We’ll pass by the financial center of Rio where modern and colonial styles are mixed and we will make a short stop to visit the famous Cathedral of San Sebastian. After the visit, we return to the hotel. Free afternoon. Overnight at your accommodation.

Day 4

place Rio de Janeiro - Foz do Iguaçu

At the proper time, we'll be transferred from our hotel to Rio de Janeiro airport. Arrive at Foz do Iguaçu airport and transfer to the Iguaçu National Park. The park, established in 1939, houses the largest enduring Atlantic forest (semideciduous) of southern Brazil. We visit the traditional walkways with a wonderful panoramic view of the Brazilian falls. The total length of the runway is 1200 meters from which you get a spectacular panoramic view of the 275 waterfalls that make up the Iguaçu Falls; the most important on the Brazilian side are four: Floriano, Deodoro da Fonseca, Benjamin Constant, and Salto União or the Devil's Throat. Once finalized the route we arrive at the panoramic elevator that returns to the vehicle to complete the itinerary. Note: optionally you can do this activity by bike! Day 5

place Argentinean Falls and Gran Aventura Speedboat Tour

After breakfast we visit the Iguaçu Falls on the Argentinean side. Recognized among the seven natural wonders of the world, the Iguazu Falls are the most visited natural attraction in the province of Misiones and one of the most impressive of Argentina and the world. Walking paths with different gateways offered by the Park may have a different view of the falls’ amazing scenery. The lower circuit allows more contact with nature, while the upper circuit gives an overview of all the jumps and the delta islands, and the impressive view of the Garganta del Diablo, where we feel the fury of water falling in many horseshoe shaped falls. Still in the Argentinean side, we’ll combine the essence of the Iguazu National Park: jungle and falls in a single ride. We enter the jungle through the Yacaratiá narrow track in units designed for this particular environment, where the natural and cultural richness will be presented along the way. This 5km car ride ends at the forest base Puerto Macuco. Going 100m down we arrive at the dock where we will meet the boats that lead us 6km through the canyon of the lower Iguaçu river towards the waterfalls while enjoying the rapids. We’ll go to the base of Salto Tres Mosqueteros to see the set of Brazilian and Argentine falls, with the Garganta do Diabo crowning the canyon’s view. Then we will reach the peak of emotion when facing the incomparable Salto San Martín, second on the scale and the largest approachable jump by boat. Finally, we land at the dock located in front of San Martin Island, where we will return to the runway system, through the Lower Circuit. Overnight at your accommodation.

place Foz do Iguaçu - Salvador

Transfer from our hotel to Foz do Iguaçu airport for departure to Salvador. Airport arrival at Salvador. Salvador de Bahia is the cradle of the Afro-Brazilian culture and offers the visitor many popular delights with its cuisine, music, enchantment, and cheerfulness. From the airport, transfer to our accommodation place situated next to the city center which is known as the Pelourinho. Here we will find the most important architectural collection of Hispanic America and it is also the meeting point for all the locals. Overnight at your accommodation.

Day 7

place Vida Baiana Tour

We leave the pousada by car to the São Joaquim market, on the shores of Baía de Todos los Santos. It's a maze full of stalls selling everything from fruits, vegetables, spices, medicinal and religious herbs to pieces and parts for appliances. We continue towards the city's financial center and walk to the Praça Municipal , which has a great view of the bay, and then walk along the narrow and busy streets with buildings in colors from the colonial era. We pass by the culinary museum, the house of Jorge Amado and some music stores. We will go to Pelourinho square, the heart of the old town. Free afternoon to join optional activities or explore on your own. Overnight at your accommodation.

Day 8

place In the Morning Community Social Project Visit & By Night Balé Folclórico

Like most Brazilian cities, Salvador has grown immensely, however not always in a controlled manner. This tour will take us to the part of the city which is not always seen by most visitors, to witness the different realities of urban life for the fortunate and less fortunate. We'll go to a local community in the heart of some of the most exclusive residential areas of Salvador. We will be meeting with community leaders and receive a detailed explanation of the work being done within the community. This explanation is complemented by the description of each of the areas to be visited by arrangement. Free afternoon. By Night we leave bound for Miguel Santana Theatre to watch the presentation of the Companhia de Balé Folclórico da Bahia. The company performs in the intimacy of Miguel Santana Theatre in the Pelourinho in a seamless presentation of the multiple African traditions that shape Bahian culture. We will see the sacred dances of Candomblé; “puxada de rede” a song by fishermen in honor of Yemanja, the goddess of the sea; maculelê, a stick and sword dance acrobatics with its origins in the cane fields; capoeira, a martial art / dance of Angolan origin and the samba de roda, a spinning, a version of this exuberant national dance. At the end of the show, time for dinner and we return to the pousada. Overnight at your accommodation.
