Cycling from Phnom Penh – Kompong Cham
This morning, meet up with your tour guide and get ready for the cycling tour from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Let's have a warm-up with a bike in Phnom Penh to Silk Island. You will travel the Diamond Island for a ferry crossing the Mekong River toward the east side of Phnom Penh. From there, visit a local house doing the weaving work. The host will introduce to you the produce of their famous Krama scarves. Then, you will reach the starting point of this cycling tour. Setting off by cycling along the Mekong River to admire the beautiful local villages and observe villages’ daily life. There is then one more river cross after lunch. You then, will carry on pedaling toward Kompong Cham. En route, you can call in at Skun Spider Market where the deep-fried tarantulas are sold as food.

This morning, cycle to Wat Hanchey an ancient hilltop pagoda since the 7th or 8th century AD overlooking the Mekong River. Cycling to its peak (another choice is hiking 300 stairs), you can marvel at the panoramic views of the stunning landscape. This region is renowned for its cassava and fruit plantations, and serene countryside. Carry on the cycling till lunch. After lunch, your driver will transfer you around 20km to Stung Chinit Tourism Site where an artificial lake, is a nice place to refresh and enjoy a local beer at the bar. Then, get to your hotel for check-in and rest.

Carry on your active travel to Cambodia with a cycle to the famous Sambor Prei Kuk Archaeological site which has been recently nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The site premise covers a huge area of 25 square kilometers, including a walled city center, and numerous temples from the 6th to 9th centuries, ten of which are octagonal, unique exemplars of their type in Southeast Asia. Possible to stop en route to pay visits to local villages, and taste snacks and fruits at local stores. Have lunch at a local restaurant. At the site, you not only cycle through the wild and verdant jungles but also explore some of the temples slowly being engulfed by the encroaching jungle.

Kompong Thom – Kompong Kdei – Beng Mealea
Today cycling destinations to conquer are Kompoing Kdei and Beng Mealea. Arriving at Kompong Kdei, you will visit the ancient bridge Spean Praptos or Kompong Kdei Bridge. This ancient bridge is one of the few Khmer Empire-era bridges to have survived to the modern day and it used to connect the city of Angkor to Phnom Chisor Temple.
Next, enjoy the pleasant countryside landscape on the way to Beng Mealea Temple which means Lotus Pond, a 12th-century AD temple built during the Angkor Wat era. This is one of the most impressive temples which is embraced by the jungle.
After lunch at a local restaurant, explore the outskirts with some hidden secondary temples. Then arrive at Beng Mealea right at sunset. You will spend tonight at a local homestay.

Relax for a while, you’ll cycle toward Siem Reap via tranquil trails with lines of palm trees, endless rice fields, and charming rural community surround. Stop at Traov Kot Lake and have a break. Local people spend their free time fishing and chilling at this lake’s premises. Afterward, carry on your journey to Siem Reap, the final destination.
