You will visit the Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) cave, located on 1,5h drive from San Ignacio. This cave is not only known for its geographical beauty, but it is also a natural museum of ancient Mayan artifacts and a sacred burial place. Upon arrival you hike for 45 minutes through the jungle, including crossing some knee-high streams. 

Entering the cave you swim across a pool, and then enter the maze of tunnels and chambers, to reach the grand Cathedral, the dry chamber, where you can admire the artifacts. After spending around 3 hours in the cave, you enjoy a typical Belizean lunch with rum punch. 

You arrvive back in San Ignacio afterwards.
