Breakfast at the hotel After breakfast, our tour starts in Asmara and places around Asmara. Asmara inscribed on the UNESCO Heritage List and the town called “Piccola Roma” (Little Rome) and architectural wonders described in many of its buildings such as the Roman Catholic Cathedral, St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Al Khulafa al Rashedin, Market (vegetable, spices), Medeber (recycling depot), National Museum, Fiat Tagliero Building, Tank Cemetery, etc. Overnight at your accommodation

Asmara - Qohaito - Senafe - Asmara
Breakfast at the hotel Today will be a long day, we will drive Southeast to see the ancient ruins at Qohaito: these standing stones, evidence of walls, and a rock-cut tomb date from about 2500 years ago. From Qohaito, we will drive on to Senafe and visit the Mount Metera and Belowkelwo archaeological sites, which are regarded as pre-Axumite. In the afternoon we drive back to Asmara. Asmara - Keren - Asmara
Breakfast at the hotel After breakfast, travel via the major Asmara – Keren highway through the town of Serejeqa to the city of Keren. Keren is the second-largest city in Eritrea. It is situated around 91 kilometers northwest of Asmara at an elevation of 1,390 meters above sea level. It has a moderate climate. The fine tarmac road, built by the Italians is like a hairpin curved out from mountainous plateaus. The day starts by visiting the colorful Keren market is every Monday. The bustling market that comprises camel, livestock. Keren is well known for the fiercest battles that went on between the Commonwealth and the Italian forces in 1941. The fall of Keren in the hands of the Common Wealth advancing army signaled the end of Italian occupation in Eritrea. Visitors will also visit the Italian and Common Wealth war cemeteries, the famous Mariam Dearit temple curved out from a Baobab tree. In the afternoon we leave Keren and back to Asmara Overnight at your accommodation

Asmara - Massawa
Breakfast at the hotel An interesting drive to the Red Sea port of Massawa, dropping from 2500m down to sea level to stay in the Dahlak hotel. We can expect it to be both hot and humid. Night time temperatures fall to 25 Grad Celsius. Visit the port city of Massawa – City of islands and the ‘Pearl of the Red Sea’, a city which for centuries has been one of the region’s most important ports. With its exquisite Turkish-Egyptian-Italian style architecture and shopping arcades, beautiful mosques, and delicious seafood, Massawa is the perfect destination to cater to all tastes. In addition to the city’s attractions, pristine beaches and enjoyable swimming are available just a short distance from the city center. Overnight at your accommodation

Massawa - Adulis - Massawa
Breakfast at the hotel In the early morning, we drive about 70 km south of Massawa to the old port of Adulis. It is a river port that served as a center of trade between the highlands of Eritrea and Ethiopia and the surrounding areas in the rest of the country. Zula is nearby. Both ports were at the center of the trade of the time, which was predominant in the Middle East. Then, already in the 7th century BC, civilizations developed. It is assumed that Adulis was a large city of that time. A small part of the city buried underneath today has been excavated, but there is still too much to see. Following a memorable stay in Adulis, In the late afternoon return to Massawa. Overnight at your accommodation

Massawa - Green Island - Asmara
Breakfast at the hotel Start early in the morning, boat trip to Green Island, the most accessible island from Massawa consisting of the beach and mangrove swamp. In the afternoon drive uphill while enjoying the magnificent scenery and lush vegetation all the way to Asmara, as time allows with stops on the way at interesting sites. Late in the evening transfer to airport for departure. End of Tour!!!
