Leave Fes towards the Sahara desert .Drive through the big Forest in the Middle Atlas ,stop in Ifrane An Alpine resort .It can snow in the area in winter .and known for the skiing resort Mishlifen;A good region for bird watchers where the snow gives lots of nice Lakes ; follow to the semi desert .This is a long drive to go straight to Merzouga erg Chebbi .So it is a good idea to relax and stay for the night in Midelt half of the way to the Sahara. Relax there and have dinner.

Midelt--Erfoud--Merzouga
After having your breakfast , you will continue your experience ,stop for photos of the nice oases ,old castles and fortified villages .Follow your drive towards Erfoud ;you will drive through Errachidia the Garrison that was founded by the French ,drive near ZIZ Valley .The next stop is in Erfoud ;the oasis town in the Sahara Desert, in the Draa-Tafilalt . Erfoud is the starting point for people who like to enjoy staying in the Sahara sand dunes because of its proximity to Merzouga desert village. You will see date palms and farms .This is the main date-producing region in Morocco. and the area famous for fossils dating back to billions of years .Following to Merzouga ,You will have a good experience to stay in a desert camp ,a Bedouin -style but comfortable bed, with all the facilities inside , Once there, you will have a camel ride through the sand dunes, take nice sunset photos then return to the camp for dinner and enjoy local music if the weather is good you will have nice views of the stars. And enjoy your memorable experience.

Merzouga----Skoura
You can wake up before sunrise if you like to have the chance to take nice photos before taking four wheel drive back from the camp and head towards Skoura .After having your breakfast and taking shower .Then continue seeing many villages and small towns on your way, see thousands of kasbahs ,valleys of Dades Boumalen ,stop for photos and drinks. Visit Todra gorges have lunch on the way to these 300 meters Rock formation that were created by nature .very nice views of Berber villages along the valleys and rivers where people depend on agriculture .follow through Tinghir ,valley of the roses until you reach the peaceful oasis of Skoura where you will rest for one night before going to Marrakech which is the first touristic destination in Morocco.

Skoura is the perfect stop to rest for one night in your way from the Sahara Desert to Marrakech. It is located between the big Sand dunes and the cliffs of the High Atlas mountains . In 12th century Yaacoub Almansour the almohad king planted this Oasis with lined palm groves and since it was part of the trade route, it has lots of Kasbahs and beautiful scenery beside its river .Drive to Ouarzazat and visit the oldest site there which is Kasbah Taourirt that was owned by the Glaoui Family .This is all that was in Ouarzazat before having the movies and the three Studios to make films here. This explains the development of this city which start to more hotels and new buildings .Today ,you will also stop at the 11th century Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou ,The UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE,This is one of the most popular sites since many films took place there such as Laurence of Arabia,Gladiator,Alexander ...This was once an important stop for Caravans passing through caring Salt across the Sahara and bringing gold, Ivory and Slaves .You can can walk up to the top of and visit a beber home and have mint tea with them .Then you will start driving through the Highest Road in Morocco Tizn’Tichka pass (2260) meters on your way to Marrakech ,About 4 hours drive from Ait Ben Haddou . Once in Marrakech here you will stay more time .This is a nice city that has lots of sites .After the long drive so either you just rest in the Riad or go for a short orientation tour to locate yourself where you are staying in medina ,this is the biggest medina in Morocco .Have dinner in the hotel

Marrakech City Tour
Today ,your tour guide will meet you at 9:30 am in the lobby of your Riad and you will start your private tour inside medina of Marrakech .This red city has lots of sites .and you will cover all the major ones such as Koutoubia mosque; visit outside and visit its garden ,The Royal Mausoleum ;Saadian Tombs. This site was discovered by the French from an Ariel survey because the site was sealed up by the first Monarch of Morocco ;Moulay Ismaiil .Then you will walk through the 16th century Mellah where the Jews used to live.This in addition to Bahia Palace..At lunch time ,you will go to see Jamaa El Fna the main Square that was declared by UNESCO as an oral human heritage and it is still full of people making their living there from spectacle or photos that visitors take in addition to fill the Square that has a history .Here you will see snake charmers, story tellers ,comedians...people having orange juice and food is served at night in open air. Nearby ,you will rest and try the most popular dish in Marrakech called Tangia;a slow cooked meat with spices which was invented by artisans and taken to Hammam ashes to be cooked .In addition to other local dishes.Continue your tour ,walk through some souks or markets .Marrakech is famous for its nice and colorful markets .The handcraft is the main industry .The area for Souks is big ,there are about 12000 shops .Today you will see some of the souks and do another tour to discover workshops and more markets. Return to the Riad for the night and enjoy time there.

Marrakech walking tour
With your tour guide, today you will walk through various souks .and enjoy the tradition of Haggling the prices .Prices differ according to the season and there is a big competition near each other they have the same crafts so to bargain here is part of the culture and for you can be a different experience and they sell according to season ,if you are interested to buy some crafts your tour guide will help you. Also, you will discover workshops, see artisans making crafts in front of you .There are lots of markets, some have mixture of crafts and others are specialized such as Leather. The tanneries are far from souks where they do the washing of leather in wholes like in medieval ages .You will see the artisans do the stitching and weaving. Women also work the handicrafts mostly at home ,and some in souks such as making rugs that belong to different tribes from all over the country ;Berber and Arable ones and they are all hand-made .Also they make baskets’ clothes ,embroidery....Men work the hard crafts such as Blacksmith ,Copper, Jewelry ,woodwork ..... You will also learn about Herbs and spices that are used as alternative medicine and natural cosmetic products by visiting a Berber herbal shop And since Marrakech was a trade route and Capital of Morocco for a long time ,it is known for thousands of Herbs and spices that were brought from all over the world and planted in the country This explains the good and healthy food .in the country . After you finish your tour in Souks ,you will start a food tour to try the main local dishes .

Marrakech gardens
After having your breakfast, you will visit Majorelle garden ;a botanical garden that was made by the French painter John Jack Majorelle in 1922 .After his death ,the garden was maintained by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berger who bought it in 1980 .With the visit of the Berber museum inside and Yves Saint Laurent museum ,you will spend the whole morning there .Enjoying taking nice photos of Cactus ,Bamboo, Lotus ,different palm trees and lots of more plants...that were brought from different parts of the world .Also the garden has a good café you can sit for a drink if you like and spend more time there .You can have your lunch (optional) in restaurant Alfassia where you can try other special dishes cooked by ladies there such as Pastilla and Moroccan Salads ,Fresh and cooked ones with special different flavors .The afternoon is at leisure;either you have free time or you can book a Hammam at the riad ,a steamed bath ,Moroccans have it once a week and it is part of the tradition and a good relaxation in the riad .

Marrakech---Essaouira
Leaving Marrakech for about 3 hours drive ,you will get to Essaouira ;A small blue and white city in the Atlantic Ocean .It was founded by the Romans and the Portuguese built its harbor ,the last is still working as a traditional fishing port .On your way to it ,you will stop to visit a women cooperative to learn about the Argon tree .that grows just in Morocco ,and see the way how women extract traditionally the Argon oil that become famous all over the world and is used for cosmetics , Follow towards Essaouira which is known as a windy city and a good area for people who are interested in surfing .Once there you can have a good lunch with Fresh fish at the same time look at the beach That has about 10 kilometers .From there you can see the Ramparts with the blue fishing boats .Rest in the Riad and may be walk near the riad which is at the center of the medina.
