Skoura is the perfect stop to rest for one night in your way from the Sahara Desert to Marrakech. It is located between the big Sand dunes and the cliffs of the High Atlas mountains . In 12th century Yaacoub Almansour the almohad king planted this Oasis with lined palm groves and since it was part of the trade route, it has lots of Kasbahs and beautiful scenery beside its river .Drive to Ouarzazat and visit the oldest site there which is Kasbah Taourirt that was owned by the Glaoui Family .This is all that was in Ouarzazat before having the movies and the three Studios to make films here.
