Banjul Hotel Pick Up
Pick up from hotel by fully air-conditioned mini-coach. We drive to our first stop at Kanilai Game Park, which is the village home of the President of The Gambia. We then proceed for lunch at Tendaba Camp, an up-country camp located on the south bank of the River Gambia, where we will be spending our first night.

Departing Tendaba Camp following breakfast, after a 30-minute drive we cross the River Gambia from the south to the north of the country and visit the famous stone circle at Wassu village, equipping us with a knowledge of an existence going back to the Stone Age. From there, we head to Georgetown, an island in the River Gambia and the first settlement used as a slave post by the British during their colonization of The Gambia. We then cross south and continue to Basse, the last main town of The Gambia.

Senegal East
After breakfast, we cross the border into the east of Senegal, heading to Niokolo-Koba Game Park, arriving late in the afternoon and staying overnight 20km from the main entrance. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to see a multitude of wildlife.

Niokolo-Koba National Park
After a very early morning coffee, we will tour Nkolokoba Game Park, where you can expect to see yet more wildlife, including hippos, giraffes, zebras, Giant Eland, the world’s biggest antelopes - possibly even elephants. We then return to camp for our proper breakfast at around 9 am. Afterward, you will enjoy a relaxing boat trip to the Gambia Bolong and a further chance to spot lots of wildlife, including the dwarf crocodile, lots of hippos, and a great variety of colorful inter-African migrant bird species. We return to camp for lunch and in the afternoon make our second visit to the game park, before heading back for our overnight stay.

Today, we prepare for our return from our camp to the Gambian border and Georgetown, where we spend our fifth night.

Following breakfast, we cross The Gambian River to Kuntawur, where we visit the Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Project. Around five hours later, we will catch our mini-coach at Kuntawur, making our final river crossing and returning to your hotel.
