Day 1

place Welcome to Bolivia!

On your arrival in La Paz, we'll meet you at El Alto International Airport and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Today, we recommend you to take it easy since we are located at 3600 meters above sea level and acclimatization is essential to enjoy all the activities. After a good rest in your hotel, you will begin to experience the local culture of La Paz by riding the famous "Mi Teleférico '' cable car up to El Alto city, one of the highest cities in the world at nearly 4200 meters above sea level. From El Alto, you'll walk downhill, with plenty of stops, for about three hours to the center of La Paz, enjoying the most amazing views as you learn how the city works. To top it off, you will take a micro or local bus to the heart of the urban markets area. Here, you’ll be able to shop around the famous Witch’s Market and handicraft stores. After the tour, you'll have the rest of the day to rest or explore more of the city at night.

Day 2

place Death Road Mountain Bike

Are you ready to cycle on the World's Most Dangerous Road? Actually, it is much less dangerous than before as very few cars use it nowadays. Today we head out of La Paz en route to the Yungas Cloud Forest region. We will begin our descent at the highest point of our adventure, at La Cumbre (4300 masl), where we set off on mountain bikes with all the protection necessary to the humid cloud forest region known as Los Yungas. You will (very safely!) descend from the cordillera along the so-called "Death Road" toward Coroico, the provincial capital of North Yungas. After having a typical lunch and some time to enjoy the pool, we'll go back to La Paz in a 2-hour scenic journey by paved road, arriving by the end of the day at your hotel

Day 3

place Sacred Lake Titicaca and Island of the Sun

This morning, travel northwest in the direction of sacred Lake Titicaca (3810 masl). To get there you'll head up and out of La Paz and into the vast altiplano, passing through El Alto, Bolivia's second-largest city. We travel through the altiplano, eventually reaching Lake Titicaca, a bi-national water body shared by Bolivia and Peru and one of the largest lakes in the continent. After about three hours we will arrive in Copacabana, a small town on the edge of the lake where we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and take a stroll around town before continuing by public ferry to the Island of the Sun. Once we get there, you will have a beautiful short trek to the southern tip of the island, visiting the Inca Stairs and the Fountain of Youth and, of course, spectacular views all around you. After our trek, you'll head to the island's small port to return to Copacabana, and from there back to your hotel in La Paz.
