Day 1

place Guatemala Airport / Antigua Guatemala

Arrival and assistance at La Aurora International Airport. Transfer to the colonial city of Antigua Guatemala, for accommodation.

Day 2

place Antigua / Pacaya Volcano / Antigua

Free time in Antigua. Free lunch (not included). In the afternoon, transfer to Pacaya volcano to start a hike that will allow us to see the lava rivers, the smoking, and the hot spots left after an eruption. Beautiful sunsets will wait for you at the top of the volcano while you enjoy a pizza cooked in a lava oven. After the adventure, return to Antigua. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

place Antigua Guatemala / Panajachel – Palopo / Panajachel

Breakfast. In the morning you will take a transfer to the town of Panajachel, a small town that is located on the shores of the picturesque Lake Atitlan. You can walk on Santander Street where there are all kinds of restaurants, bars, and handicraft sales. Free lunch (not included). In the afternoon you will experience on a quad bike tour to one of the most colorful villages of the Lake: Santa Catarina Palopó. This is a perfect way to explore the village and have stunning views of the magical lake. After exploring the village, you will be transferred to your hotel to rest. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4

place Panajachel / San Juan La Laguna – Kayaks / Panajachel

Breakfast. You will walk to the pier to take the boat to the village of San Juan la Laguna, where you will share with women weavers who still practice ancient techniques. You will also visit the galleries of local artists, cocoa workshop and learn the diversity and history of the still-living Mayan culture. Lunch included with a local family. At the end of the visit, you will have some great experience by doing kayak in the lake. You will be transferred to take you kayak and have a relaxing time in these magical waters. Then, transfer to Panajachel to rest at your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5

place Panajachel – Hiking Tour – Antigua

Breakfast. Your local guide will take you for a hiking tour around the Maya villages surrounding the lake. You will start the tour in Santa Cruz la Laguna, a perfect place to get in contact with nature and get closer to the local traditions. Then you will continue to San Marcos La Laguna where you will enjoy the most beautiful views of the lake. After the tour, your guide will take you back to your hotel. Free lunch (not included). After lunch you will be transfer back to Antigua. Overnight at the hotel.
