Arrival to Madrid and orientation
Welcome to Madrid! To welcome you into this lively city, your private taxi first accompanies you to the hotel. Or for those arriving earlier by car, you’ll have an option to kick start the tour and dive right in. Walk about the center and gather your first impressions of the grand streets and bright architecture. You’ll soon discover a wonderful assortment of elegant boulevards, illustrious museums, royal palaces, manicured parks, and trendy eateries. Madrid's center is a collection of diverse barrios, each boasting a distinct charm and laying claim to architectural curiosity, including the 17th century Plaza Mayor and the enormous Royal Palace. We recommend a stroll down Gran Via, the city’s most famous "calle". Find your way to Puerta del Sol - the so-called ‘Heart of Spain’ and home to the famous Bear and Strawberry Tree statue, a symbol of the city.

The 3000-year old coastal town of Gijon and the world of Cider
In the morning, a guide will show you around what used to be a quiet fishing town called Gijon, with insights into its historical center. 3000 years later, it's a city with a picturesque center and a beautiful bay complete with beaches of the Atlantic Coast, attracting both local fishermen and surfers who try their skills in the waves. Gijon is a cozy city with a touch of historic buildings and Roman ruins. This afternoon brings you two short excursion opportunities, to traditionally Spanish towns. The medieval and grand Oviedo, and the colorfully constructed Aviles. Both lend a view into the architecture of Asturian towns and villages, are within short driving distance, and are definitely worth a visit.

One of the most picturesque stops is at As Catadreis, the "Cathedrals", which are huge, arch-shaped rock formations situated on the Cantabric beach, mimicking the views of arches in cathedrals.
