Day 1

place Santiago to Millahue Valley

Welcome to Santiago! Chile has many adventures to offer tourists: stargazing in the driest desert in the world, millennial glaciers in the southernmost part of the planet, enchanted forests, and lakes located at the foot of massive volcanoes. It has islands full of legends, winemaking traditions, great challenges to be overcome, and the modern and accessible city of Santiago. A private transfer will pick you up from Santiago Airport to take you to your selected Hotel. Viña Vik is located in the Millahue Valley, in San Vicente de Tagua Tagua, 160 kilometers south of Santiago. It is characterized for being an extraordinary architectural project in the middle of the vineyards where nature is mixed with art and design. This became the new adventure of the Norwegian businessman Alexander Vik, who sought a place between Chile and Argentina to produce the best wine in the world. This is how he came to our country to fulfill his dream that included not only a vineyard, but also an avant-garde style hotel to receive art-loving tourists. The hotel's architecture was in charge of Marcelo Daglio and it stands out for its corrugated titanium roof that shines at certain times of the day. This symbolizes the name of the Millahue Valley, which in Mapudungún means "land of gold".

Discover the magic nuances of the desert by visiting the Toconao village, the great Atacama Salt Flat with its Chaxa Lagoon, the impressive mountain lagoons Miscanti and Miñiques in Los Flamencos Natural Reserve. The journey will begin with a visit to Lagoon Chaxa, a scenery of spectacular beauty that is divided into several water mirrors where numerous flamingos live and other birds such as large and small parinas. Then we head towards the Altiplano to reach the viewpoint of Red Stones, where you can see a volcanic conglomerate formed from the oxidation of the iron present in that place. place San Pedro de Atacama

Activities to be confirmed per guest request. Our recommendation for today: FD Tatio Geysers at Sunrise Feast your eyes on the Tatio Geysers, one of the world’s most impressive geothermal sites and certainly an icon of the Atacama Desert. We’ll set off early this morning to reach the Tatio Geysers just as the sun begins to emerge above the horizon, casting an ethereal glow on vapor columns which tower over us at heights of up to 12 meters. We’ll spend some time appreciating the wonder of this geothermal field, home to over 80 active geysers which protrude from bubbling pools of boiling water, then have breakfast with the geysers as our views. As we head home, we will often spot wildlife roaming outside, including Vicuñas, Foxes, Vizcachas and Andean Ostriches. We will stop at the picturesque, adobe village of Machuca. Home to no more than a dozen locals, Machuca is small, cultural site to behold with its church built from wood and handicraft stalls, a charming interlude before taking the return road to Tierra.

place Viña del Mar & Valparaíso Day Tour

Viña del Mar and Valparaíso are two of Chile’s unmissable destinations. Known as the “Garden City”, for originally being surrounded by largely green areas and for now preserving its extensive and beautiful urban gardens, with the Pacific Ocean as its backdrop, Viña del Mar is undoubtedly one of Chile’s unmissable destinations. Viña del Mar stands out for its beautiful architecture, its impressive palaces and famous Flower Clock, photographed by tourists from all over the world. We will travel along the sea front, and enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean, before arriving at the most important ports in Chile; Valparaiso. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its colorful beauty and the uniqueness of its location on the hills, which create a natural Amphitheatre with the ocean as its stage. place Santiago to Patagonia

A private transfer will pick you up to take you from the Hotel to Santiago Airport. Upon your arrival to Punta Arenas Airport Tierra staff will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel. Once you get there, you will meet with the explorations team to see what do you feel like doing during your stay at the hotel. We recommend you to visit the following link, where you can check the tours available to book and not miss anything! Website: https://tierrahotels.com/patagonia/excursions/ Our recommendation for today: Half Day Origins of Life: Ancient Geology at Lake Sarmiento. Unearth thousands of years of geology on this walk based around the shores of Lake Sarmiento. Here you can discover rare formations that reflect the beginnings of the Earth’s history. A 40-minute drive takes us from the hotel to our starting point, for a varied walk over both flat and slightly steeper terrain before we hit the shores of Lake Sarmiento. This expanse of water is very special and the home of formations called thrombolites, which were formed early on in the history of the world’s geology. The conditions needed for them to be created are a precise balance between climatic conditions, alkaline levels in the water and wildlife in the area amongst others. There are very few sites in the world where thrombolites are found. There is also much resident wildlife which occasionally accompanies us and in the springtime, vibrant colors from a variety of wildflowers.

Day 10

place Patagonia

Activities to be confirmed per guest request. Our recommendation for today: Full Day To the Base of the Three Towers A legendary route among the hiking community and an eye-opening experience for avid walkers, this is one of the world’s great “bucket list” hikes. The first part is a steep climb, loosely following the natural course of the Ascensio River to Paso de los Vientos, where vegetation is thin on the ground. As you get higher, the views evolve and the mountains come into sight. After a stretch of fairly flat walking on a steep mountainside, you arrive at the “Chileno” refuge. Crossing the river, there is shade and a change of pace on a trail through native forest. Then the terrain changes again, opening out onto a steep rocky hillside, with huge chunks of stone making for challenging walking. The effort of this severe ascent is rewarded by the view of the iconic magnificence of the Towers at the top. Take the time to appreciate both the isolation and grandeur of these mountains, a site which evokes its own sense of perspective.

Day 11

place Patagonia

Activities to be confirmed per guest request. Our recommendation for today: Half Day Horse Riding at Estancia Lazo. If you love nature and horse riding – or you’ve always wanted to try – there’s no better place to do it than here in the wonderland that is Torres del Paine, with the local Chilean gauchos at Estancia Lazo. Located on the southern shore of Lake Sarmiento, the ranch is reached via a beautiful drive along the lake from Tierra Patagonia. At the estancia, we meet our horses and saddle up, ready for an adventure on horseback through mixed terrain and glorious scenery. The first hour is spent riding through an ancient lenga forest, before arriving at a clearing which treats us to astonishing views of the Paine Massif. Looking out over the iconic mountains of the Torres del Paine National Park, is sure to inspire and stay as a warm memory long after you return home.

Activities to be confirmed per guest request. Our recommendation for today: Half Day Biking the Cañadón Macho. Brace yourself for a thrill as you pedal through the landscapes of Cañadón Macho on this biking excursion. From the Laguna Azul area, we gear up, hop on our bikes and head off, riding mainly downhill for the first section of our trail. The area is heavily populated with guanaco, with sentinels watching out for the herd on the top of the hills. In the background, the Three Towers pierce the sky as we head towards the hotel. You can opt to cycle all the way back to Tierra Patagonia, or jump back in the support vehicle when you’re ready to rest – the choice is yours.
