Day 2

place Explore Bangkok

Today you will begin your day with a visit to now a museum, Jim Thomson's house, a symbol of traditional wooden architecture, has an important collection of Asian art objects. A return to a not so distant past since the former American spy, who was behind the revival of the silk industry in Thailand, mysteriously disappeared in Malaysia in 1967. You will take a water taxi to Phanfa bridge pier via the klong (canal), which will pass in front of local inhabitant homes before reaching Wat Saket (the temple of the golden mountain). It is necessary to climb 344 steps to visit it. You will not be disappointed as from the above; Bangkok appears in all its diversity and architectural contrasts, varying from modern to ancient. Another means of transportation still widely used by the inhabitants of the capital, the tuk-tuk, which you will take that will allow you to reach the heart of the historic district of the capital of the Angels and the Chao Phraya river, which winds through Bangkok. You will then take another water taxi to reach and visit the Wat Arun temple ("Temple of Dawn"), erected on the water's edge. Its unique architecture with its 79-meter high central tower decorated with millions of porcelain fragments makes it the most beautiful Buddhist temple in the city. A last boat crossing takes you to the opposite shore to discover Wat Pho, which has an impressive 45-meter long reclining Buddha and a famous school of traditional massage (30 min foot massage optional). In the late afternoon, you will arrive in the district of Talad Noi, one of the oldest in the City of Angels, where the day you discover Bangkok using only local transportation will end. In addition to its photogenic setting, this part of Bangkok located in the historic Chinatown is pleasant to explore on foot. Before the evening falls, you will arrive at the River vibe Restaurant, where you can watch the sunset over the river while sipping a refreshing drink.

Day 3

place Discover the hidden secrets of Bangkok

09:00 am Departure from the hotel 10:00 am Start of the electric scooter ride 12:00 pm Lunch and visit of the Portuguese district of Kudeejeen 3:30 pm Return to the hotel Departure from your hotel to the historical district of Bangkok, where the best kept secrets of the City of Angels can be discovered on an electric scooter. An original experience that allows you to explore places where few tourists can go, close to the communities who live in the narrow and sometimes hidden streets of the Kudeejeen district. An easy ride accessible to all (children from 10 years old), several encounters and unusual places such as small canal, an improbable mural fresco, a retro café... Surprise effect and smiles guaranteed, Bangkokers are not yet used to this new way of riding! The Kudeejeen district, or Portuguese district, is located on the right bank of the river. After the destruction of Ayutthaya, the former capital of the kingdom of Siam in the 19th century, King Taksin allocated land to various communities, including that of Kudeejeen to families of Sino-Portuguese origin. The church, admirably restored, is the most striking symbol of this. Mrs. Taan, who lives in a traditional house, likes to share her knowledge of royal Thai cuisine with visitors. Local lunch in the neighbourd of Kudeejeen. The "Kanom Jeen", to be enjoyed at lunch, is a typical dish of rice vermicelli accompanied by sliced chicken with red curry and coconut cream. A few steps away, a craftsman makes the famous cream tarts called here "Khanom Farang Kudeejeen" using the original Portuguese recipe. After lunch, return to your hotel and rest of afternoon and evening at leisure. Meals at leisure.
