Day 1: Cape Town – Oudtshoorn, South Africa
Drive along Route 63 and Cango Caves Tour
Start your adventure driving along Route 62, the longest wine route in the world. Take in its rugged landscapes with high mountains and vast plains dotted with vineyards and orchards. Stop at a farm stall to sample local delights on your way to Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world.Day 2: Oudtshoorn – Sedgefield, South Africa
Canoeing in Touws River and optional activities
Start the day with an optional Elephant Bush Walk (R405), where you’ll have the opportunity to walk along three rescued elephants in their natural environment. The beautiful creatures were orphaned due to illegal poaching in northern South Africa, and then transferred to Buffelsdrift. You’ll have the chance to take many pictures as you want and ask questions to the rangers.
Continue with an afternoon paddle along the Touws River, deep in Wilderness National Park. Paddle, let the gentle current guide you, and enjoy some bird-watching. Reach Bloukrans Bridge, the world’s highest commercial bridge bungy jump. Hurtle face first down the 216m drop only to spring back up on their elastic cord like a yoyo (R990). If heights are not your thing, go visit the famous 1000-year-old yellowwood tree with a 90m circumference.
Explore the town of Sedgefield for the rest of the evening.

Game drive and bush walk
Your last day will begin as you drive away from Table Mountain on your way to the Garden Route. The first stop is in a malaria-free private game reserve, where you’ll hop on a 4x4 and go on a game drive. Try to spot the elephants, lions, white rhinos and other creatures with the help of an experienced game ranger.
Hop-off the vehicle and go on a peaceful bush walk. Follow your game ranger as you track wildlife and learn about the beneficial properties of the plants of habitats such as coastal renosterveldt and Cape fynbos.
Your adventure ends as you drive back to Cape Town and enjoy the views of this extraordinary route.
