Explorers from different regions of Europe and the world tried to find gold and other treasures in this place. You will learn a little about the mysteries and stories of this region and the gold fever during the colonial era. In addition to the impressive history, enjoy the landscape and the surroundings, as the lake is located in a protected natural reserve at about 3,000 meters above sea level, so you will appreciate the vegetation of the high Andean forest and the sub-paramo, a spectacular ecosystem found only in the Andes.
