Kalpitiya is a peninsula set in between the deep lagoon of Puttalam to the east and the magnificent Indian Ocean to the west. Breakfast at hotel and in the morning Take a Boat Ride to Willpattu and Do a Jeep Safari at Wilpattu National Park. Wilpattu sanctuary was declared as a National Park in 1938, Wilpattu National Park is located on the west coast close to the historical city of Anuradhapura .The dry zone jungle is thickly grown. Wilpattu Natonal Park is home for many villus or natural lakes which dot the landscape in the Wilpattu National Park. Except for two, these lakes contain rainwater, thus are important for resident and migratory water-birds. The history of the park is also of interest with ancient If time & weather permits you will do a quick boat ride in the Kalpitiya lagoon & stop at a small sand bank to have a glass of wine or Beer while looking at the sundown. Breakfast at the hotel and start your journey to Sigiriya which is the central part of Sri Lanka & the cultural triangle. On the way pay a visit to Yapahuwa Ancient Kingdom. A royal residence in 13th century Yapahuwa was able to preserve some interesting remains. While many traces of other ancient defenses are still seen, an ornamental stairway remains as the main piece. Located in Kurunegala, belonging to the North Western Province of Sri Lanka, the Yapahuwa ancient fortress rises to a height of 90 m above the surrounding plains. Built by King Buwanekabahu the First, as the capital of Sri Lankain 1301, today, the Royal residence, the Temple of Tooth Relic, the battle defenses are in ruins. Proceed to Sigiriya. Check into the hotel (Back of beyond) and relax. In the evening climb Pidurangala Rock and spot the evening sunset. The rock next to Sigiriya is called Pidurangala. King Kasyapa built his King’s Palace on Sigiriya, but he worshipped Buddha on Pidurangala. The monastery dates back to the third century BC, but it was under Kasyapa that it became huge. It’s said the monastery was home to 500 monks and occupied an area of 14 acres during his reign. Return back to the hotel and relax. Have your scrumptious breakfast at hotel and take a visit to a local village called Hiriwadunna. Take a village Lunch with trekking at Hiriwadunna. Take a cycle ride or take a walk in to the bushes, enjoy a nature walk through a scrub jungle, wade through a local stream with low hanging branches, cross a lake in an ‘oruwa', the traditional mode of over water transport, spend time with a farmer harvesting crops under his guidance and taste authentic village cuisine prepared by the farmer's family with freshly picked produce and local herbs cooked in clay pots over an open heart fueled by firewood. Then in the afternoon visit to Ancient city of Polonnaruwa. Royal Kingdom of Polonnaruwa. It is the second kingdom in Sri Lanka & the largest city in north central province, Polonnaruwa is famous for its ancient architectural sites, natural beauty & the large lake ‘Parakrama Samudra’ built in 1200. UNESCO has declared this ancient city as one of the World Heritage sites in Sri Lanka. Royal kingdom of Polonnaruwa is one of the most important ancient archeological site which has a range of surpricing Architectural, agricultural, irrigation & religious (Buddhist & Hindu) sites to explore & discover. place SIGIRIYA / KNUCKLES

Enjoy your breakfast and proceed to discover to Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the morning. Sigiriya rock fortress. Among locals this is called as the “8th wonder of the world” absolutely marvelous fortress complex which dates back to 477 CE situated 200 meters high from the ground. This giant rock fortress has water fountains, boulder gardens, frescos, mirror wall, relics of the castle and many more exciting monuments from the bottom to the top of the complex. This is definitely the most visited tourist attraction in Sri Lanka. UNESCO has declared this ancient city as one of the World Heritage sites in Sri Lanka. Some people believe that Sigiriya is a post historical archeology turning point of Ravana. According to them, Sigiriya may be the Alakamandava (the City of the Gods) that was built up before 50 centuries ago by King Kubera who was the half-brother of Great king Ravana. After the discovery of the fortress refresh yourself. Then today will be transferred to “an extra ordinary property which is situated amongst undulating hills and a lush verdant landscape”. Proceed to Knuckles. One of the biodiversity hot spot in Sri Lanka & a place in demand for nature lovers & naturalists. It’s a breath taking view. Breakfast at hotel and you can do a trek to Knuckles Mountain Range. Knuckles range also called “Dumbara mountain range” is located off Kandy, in the northern end of Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. To the south and east of the mountain range is Mahaweli river basin while to the west are Matale plains. Enjoy the lush greenery, range of endemic & migrant birds, water streams & many more nature related things during the trek. Sometimes if you are lucky you might see some Stag deer’s during the visit. Then late afternoon visit to explore the Galle City and in the evening you can spot the sunset over the beautiful Indian ocean. Galle Fort, the reflection of Dutch era in Sri Lanka. Galle was once the chief port of Sri Lanka. It is still well known for hand-made lace. You can also visit the Galle Fort (spanning 90acres) which was originally built by the Portuguese and later extended by the Dutch in 1663. This is also a World Heritage Site. As a result, Asia's largest colonial-built fort has protected a wealth of interesting architecture, now housing galleries, cafes, and shops, or fulfilling their initial intended purpose as law courts and administrative buildings.
