Later explore the atmospheric village of Bigodi accompanied by one of our professional English-speaking field-guides. The walk will take up to 3 to 4 hours depending on the pace of the group. According to your interests, you will first visit a traditional healer who will happily share his knowledge about spirits, herbs, plants and local medicines. Secondly, the visitors will visit the homes of elderly men and women who tell interesting stories about birth, marriage, ceremonies, clans and their traditional life. Learn more about the history and issues that they face as a developing community of rural Uganda. Along the way, you will also be given the chance to experience the Ugandan school system, visit a local church and Bigodi’s trading centre, a hub of rural life and activity. Hoping you get the chance to spot them, the sight will be spectacular! Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Gorilla Trekking - Bwindi National Park - Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation
After breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing before you set off through the tracks to search for the humble giants. You will go with packed lunch because it’s hard to determine how long it will take you to meet these great apes. However, the time ranges between 2-9 hours depending on the movement of the giant primates. The activity is tedious, it entails walking along steep hilly tracks however encountering these great relatives of man erases all the poor memories/ hardships you went through in trying to find them. Later take continue driving further south to Lake Bunyonyi. A very beautiful lake with 29 islands which might make you feel like you are out of Africa. Lake bunyonyi is the second-deepest lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyika. Overnight at your accommodation

After your early morning activities, return to the lodge for a late breakfast and check-out. We then bid farewell to the park’s friendly staff as we depart for Entebbe. En route we will stop at the Equator for photographs and ‘polar- water experiment', then local community crafts shops and fruit markets. I have a contagious passion for wildlife viewing and eagle-like vision (spotting wildlife well past sunset) and I like birding a lot. Besides my natural history expertise, I also provide cultural insights into my home country.
