After an early breakfast at Sarova Mara Game Camp, you will have an extensive full day game drive into the reserve covered with rolling grasslands dotted with acacia and hazy forested hills and river line bush where the Mara River and its tributaries meander. Maasai Mara is considered by many to be Kenya's finest game reserve. The 1510 sq kms of this reserve adjoin Tanzania's well-known Serengeti forming one ecosystem. The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topis, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. After breakfast at Sarova Mara Game Camp, you will have a mid-morning game drive, then depart for Lake Naivasha which is the highest Lake in The Rift Valley arriving in the late afternoon. Lake Naivasha was famous in the 1930’s as a staging post for Imperial Airways Flying Boat Services from Durban to London and you can see the Lake sparkling in the sun thousands of feet below. Proceed to the Sopa Lodge for lunch then visit the Hell’s Gate National Park in the afternoon. Hell’s Gate is unique among Kenya’s wildlife parks as you are allowed to walk or cycle without a guide.
