Welcome at Managua International Airport. First contact with the country and receipt of your travel documents through your driver. Then, your private transfer will drive you to your hotel in Managua. Note: Plan for $10 in cash / person to pay territory entry tax.

Reception of your rental vehicle. Departure from San Juan del Sur to Granada. Along the way you will enjoy the spectacular points on Lake Nicaragua and the island of Ometepe. End of the day free to stroll in the heart of the colonial city. Note: 2 hours drive. Guided tour of Granada by horse-drawn carriage "La Gran Sultana" is a colonial jewel that we propose you to discover by horse-drawn carriage. You will start this guided tour in the Church of San Francisco, the oldest in the city, and then go to the cemetery with its marble tombs over 400 years old. Then you will continue to the fortress of Polvora. Finally, you will end this discovery by the Church of Xalteva, the Cathedral and the Central Park. Then you will cross the Central Market with its colourful stalls. For lunch, we suggest that you enjoy a "vigoron" (a typical Nicaraguan dish) in the central square in the shade of the trees. Note: Entrance fees included at the Convento San Francisco, the church of La Merced and the cathedral of Granada.

place Day to discover Las Isletas, Isla Zopango

Mombacho Cigars Discover one of the best cigar factories in the world! You will learn about the different steps that tobacco leaves go through to create a cigar. You will also learn all the details to be able to make the best cigars: how to choose the leaf, work it, then roll it in order to obtain a perfect cigar. During this visit, you will have the opportunity to make your own cigar! Mombacho cigars are handmade with the best tobacco leaves, which are grown in the exuberant fields of volcanic soil. The result of this nutrient-rich volcanic soil is the mark of quality: an incredible smoothness. Once made, they are stored for six months before being sold in totally airtight glass tubes and grouped together in elegant handmade cedar boxes. *Note: The visit of the factory lasts 1h30 with a local guide, you will have the opportunity to leave with the cigar you made. Day to discover Las Isletas, Isla Zopango In the morning, go to the port del Rayo. Day dedicated to the discovery of Las Isletas, an archipelago of islands off the coast of Granada. Around noon, from Granada, you will leave by boat to explore these islands where today the Nicaraguans established their holiday homes. There are about 400 of these basaltic islands and you will surely have the opportunity to enjoy an excellent view of the proud Mombacho volcano as well as to observe many animals. You will join Isla Zopango, a private and 100% natural island where the owners have the heart to preserve this little piece of "floating" paradise. You can use the kayaks to explore the surroundings and admire the flora and fauna of this archipelago. You will appreciate the calm that reigns on the island and the surroundings, so close and so far from Granada. For lunch, you will enjoy the fresh fish grilled made on the barbecue, pleasure insured ! Robinson and Crusoe atmosphere, the opportunity to live like an islander for a day. *Note: from 09:00 to 16:00 approximately. Return to your hotel.

place El Crater self-guided hike on the Mombacho volcano

El Crater self-guided hike on the Mombacho volcano. We propose you to discover the wet nature of the Mombacho Volcano overlooking Granada. It is composed of four volcanic craters with the highest peak at 1,345 meters. Go to the entrance of the Mombacho Volcano and you will join in a 4x4 truck the easy access hiking trails through the only rainforest on the Pacific coast of Central America. Let's go for a walk in the heart of this atypical ecosystem! Nearly 150 species of orchids, 50 types of mammals and 120 species of butterflies have been identified. You'll also visit a museum showing the great telluric events of this volcano. *Note : 1h30 self-guided hike; medium difficulty. Canopy Tour Departure for a session of canopy. 2 km long with 17 stations, 11 zip line and 3 suspension bridges, this excursion allows you to appreciate the environment of the Mombacho Volcano . All along the route you will be able to observe the diversity of the local fauna. This dormant volcano is also a nature reserve with about 700 species of plants, 173 species of birds, 36 species of reptiles, 10 species of amphibians and 47 species of mammals. Plus several thousand species of insects and some endemic species. *Note: Approximately 2 hours of excursion. *Note 2: Wear comfortable clothing: long pants, shorts, sneakers or hiking boots. Keep your camera inside the case and do not carry sharp objects. Use a strap for your glasses. Minimum age: 5 years. Discover the Pueblos Blancos, these small villages around Masaya, famous for their handicrafts. Between pottery, leather goods and hammocks, the colours of the local handicrafts will fill your eyes! You will wander between Catarina and San Juan de Oriente to observe these small shops often installed on the porches of the houses. If you wish, you can also stop to visit a black ceramic workshop, the specialty of the region. Once in Catarina, you can enjoy the panoramic view of you can enjoy the panoramic view. Free afternoon

place Departure from Granada to Leon, the old capital of Nicaragua

Guided tour of León (half day). Former capital of Nicaragua until 1851, León is a city not to be missed in the north of the country. Seductive for its colonial style, exciting for its rich historical and religious past, we invite you to discover this city with a visit to the main places of the city accompanied by your guide. You will start the visit by the indigenous district of Sutiaba, then you will visit the museum of Ruben Dario, the mythical child of Nicaraguan letters. Afterwards, you will take the time to discover the imposing cathedral on the Central Park, and admire the panoramic view from its roof. Finally you will end the visit with the revolutionary murals. *Note: Entrance fees included at the Ruben Dario Museum and León Cathedral.

place Sandboard on the slopes of the volcano Cerro Negro

At 7:30 a.m. your driver will pick you up at your hotel in a 4x4 in the direction of the famous Cerro Negro volcano. Born 150 years ago, the Cerro Negro volcano is the most active volcano in Nicaragua; the last eruption was in 1999. High of 725m, it is well named "Black Mountain" and its appearance is lunar. Its surface is covered with black volcanic stones up to its summit. The fumaroles and other sulphur emissions accentuate the change of scenery. You will reach the summit from where you will observe the crater and thengo down the slope in sand surfing. Strong sensations guaranteed standing or sitting on your board! *Note: Moderate difficulty hike, about 1h30 walk. Then, return to your hotel. Isla Juan Venado Nature Reserve In the afternoon, appointment with your local guide in the small village of Las Peñitas. The nature reserve of the island Juan Venado is 22km long and 250m wide. It is by boat that we propose you to discover its mangroves in search of turtles, caimans and iguanas. Located in front of the beach of Las Peñitas, this island is also the refuge of many species of birds. You can finish the excursion by a bathing or a walk on the beach. *Note: duration about 3 hours.

Day 10

place Ascent of the Telica Volcano with your private English speaking guide

In the early morning, departure for the Telica volcano, one of the most active in the region. At the foot of the volcano, the small village of Telica lives according to the moods of the colossus. You will be able to observe different volcanic manifestations, including the bubbling baths and the omnipresent smell of sulphur called the Hervideros of San Jacinto. Many legends and myths surround this timeless place. Beginning of the ascent. You hike at your own pace, as you go up the slopes become more and more difficult. At the top, you enjoy the view in the crater and the lava before taking a picnic break. After this well-deserved break you will go down to the bubbling springs. Return route to León. *Note 1: count between 6 and 7 hours of walking in total. * Note 2: bring water, sunscreen, a hat and walking shoes.

Departure from León to reach the capital of Nicaragua, Managua. End of day free. Note: 95km - 2 hours drive. Return of your rental vehicle. From Managua, domestic flight to Big Corn Island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. *Note: 1h30 flight with a stop in Bluefields. Once you arrive at Big Corn Island airport, please reconfirm your return flight with the airline. Then, your taxi is waiting for you to reach Brigg Bay. At the dock, board the Panga publica boat (Note 2) bound for Little Corn Island. You have arrived at Little Corn Island! A hotel representative will be waiting for you on the dock and will accompany you to your hotel by private water taxi. *Note: Taxi for approximately 10 minutes. *Note 2: 45 minutes boat ride approximately, 5US$ per person per trip to be paid on site.
