place Transfer from Cusco Airport to the Sacred Valley

Transfer from Cuzco Airport to your Sacred Valley Villa : Sacred Valley of the IncasUpon arriving at the Cusco airport proceed to baggage claim and then proceed to the exit where you will be met by your guide, private vehicle, and driver. Next, you begin the 70-minute journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, while you are debriefed on your options for your adventure. Upon arrival, you can either relax and take in the scenery or explore some of the trails next to your private Villa. place Explore Pisac Ruins

The Pisac Ruins: Leaving our hotel in the morning we drive to Pisac Ruins, situated high on the mountain overlooking the picturesque Andean village of modern Pisac. The village is famous for its local market and superb Artisan stalls. From the main square, there is a circular hike along a well-defined mountain trail that leads to the ruins, and from there we can Pisac ruins, Cusco, explore the extensive royal buildings, look-outs, terraces, tunnels, and irrigation channels before returning on another good trail to our waiting vehicle. Hike Stats Distance: 1-4 km (¾ – 2 ½ miles) Time: 1-3 hours Ascent: 430 meters (1400 feet) Descent: 430 meters (1400 feet) Altitude: 2850 – 3400 meters (9,350-11,155 feet) Overnight at The Greenhouse Villas or Similar Included: English-speaking guide, all entrance fees, private chef, transport, snacks, water, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and lodging.

Day 3

place Chinchero to Huayllabamba

Hike Chinchero to Huayllabamba: Today provides a combination of culture and hiking. The day begins with a visit to the extensive ruins of Chincheros. Chincheros is also a town known for having the best weavers in the Sacred Valley. After visiting the ruins we will see a weaving demonstration from the local Quechua ladies in one of the workshops open to the public. View from Huchuy Qosqo through Inca window After the weaving demonstration, we will hike a forgotten section of the Inca Trail, still pristine in many areas, to the town of Huayllabamba. Upon arrival, the group will be met by your private vehicle where you will have a picnic lunch in the Andean countryside. Day 4

place Moray to Maras

Moray & Maras ruins: We head towards Chinchero plain before taking a dirt road to the incredible ruins of Moray. These rarely visited circular ruins are thought to have been agricultural experimental stations in the times of the Incas. After visiting the ruins we follow an ancient mule trail with spectacular views of the snow-capped Cordillera Vilcanota. We will also see examples of the finest Andean farming on our way. We head back across the plains to the interesting town of Maras for lunch. Maras Inca Salt Mines In the afternoon we descend from Maras to the amazing Salinas, a series of salt pans that have been worked since Inca times. We explore the site before descending to the Urubamba river where we will meet our private vehicle to return to the private Villa for the night. Day 5

place Pumamarca to Ollantaytambo

This short hike is great to experience both the Inca culture and the living culture of Peru today. The area is still a very traditional farming area. The day starts with a drive to the ruins of Pumamarca, located half an hour drive, in the mountains above the ancient village of Ollantaytambo. Along the way, you will learn about the history and purpose of the ruins from your guide. Your hike begins by following an old Inca trail down the terraced fields towards the town of Ollantaytambo. Along the way, you can catch glimpses of the everyday life of the indigenous, farming communities that live in the area. Note their colorful and unique clothing that reflects the local style of their strong culture. If the time is right you can even see the locals harvesting or plowing their fields. Inca ruins near Cusco Descending into Ollantaytambo the hike ends with an exploration of the ancient city of Ollantaytambo, one of the few ancient cities that are still inhabited in modern times. Explore its narrow cobbled passageways and the unique Inca masonry of the city walls. Hike Stats Distance: 6 km (3.7 miles) Time: Approx. 3 hours Ascent: 50 meters (164 feet) Descent: 600 meters (1,969 feet) Altitude: 2,850 – 3,400 meters (9,350-11,155 feet) Overnight at The Greenhouse Villas or Similar Included: English-speaking guide, private chef, private transfers, water, snacks, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and entrance fees.

place KM104 Royal Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Royal Inca Trail (km104) to Machu Picchu: Early morning you will be privately transferred to the train station to start your adventure to Machu Picchu. At KM 104 we alight, pass through the control, and start our walk past the ruins at Chachabamba. The ancient Inca Trail ascends through the tropical cloud forest, climbing above the roaring Urubamba River. An initially challenging ascent is rewarded as we reach Wiñay Wayna, a beautiful Inca ruin full of swallows and orchids. Continuing the contour path through the cloud forest we arrive at Inti Puncu, ‘the gateway of the Sun’ and our first glimpse of Machu Picchu. hike to Machu Picchu on the 5-day Inca trail- Amazonas Explorer Catching the afternoon bus to Machu Picchu town and transfer to the train station, we catch a late train back to Ollantaytambo, back to your Villa, where you will be met with a dinner prepared by your private chef in your private Villa. place Sacred Valley to Cusco Airport

Sacred Valley to Cusco transfer: At the appropriate hour, you will be picked up and privately transferred from the Sacred Valley to the Cusco airport. Along the way, we will stop to visit the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, known for its massive Inca stones and its fabulous viewpoint over the town of Cusco. After we will continue to the Cusco airport to check in for your flight back home. Included: English-speaking guide, private chef, private transport, breakfast, and lunch when required.
