Day 1: Arrival in Delhi | Transfer and Time to Rest
Arrive in Delhi, India’s vibrant capital, where Mughal heritage and modern city life meet. After arrival, continue by scheduled transfer and take time to rest following your journey. This first day provides time to settle in before the planned sightseeing begins.
Delhi presents a clear contrast between Old Delhi’s bustling bazaars and New Delhi’s broad boulevards, which were designed by the British. Your arrival introduces these distinct sides of the capital while keeping the remainder of the day focused on your transfer and rest.
New Delhi was formally inaugurated as the capital of British India in 1931.

Day 2: Delhi’s Historic Contrasts | Old and New Delhi Sightseeing
Begin your full-day sightseeing program in Old Delhi with a visit to the majestic Red Fort, which is closed on Mondays. Continue to Jama Masjid before taking a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk market, combining major monuments with the active commercial setting of the historic district.
Proceed to New Delhi to explore India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Humayun’s Tomb. Conclude the day at Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases Indo-Islamic architecture and provides the final stop on your route through the capital.
Qutub Minar’s five stories were completed and restored across different periods of Delhi’s history.

Day 3: Delhi to Agra | Taj Mahal and Agra Fort
Drive approximately 210 km from Delhi to Agra, with an estimated travel time of four hours. Begin your afternoon sightseeing at the Taj Mahal, the city’s defining monument and a symbol of eternal love. Plan carefully around its weekly closure, as the Taj Mahal is closed to visitors on Fridays.
Continue to Agra Fort, a red sandstone fortress distinguished by its palatial halls. You may optionally visit Mehtab Bagh at sunset for views of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna River, completing the day with a different perspective of Agra’s most recognized landmark.
The Taj Mahal was commissioned by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for Mumtaz Mahal.

Day 4: Mughal Sites to Jaipur | Fatehpur Sikri, Abhaneri, and Evening Markets
Depart Agra for Jaipur on a journey of approximately 240 km, taking five to six hours. Stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal capital known for its palaces and mosques. Explore key features including Buland Darwaza and Panch Mahal before continuing toward Abhaneri.
Visit Chand Baori in Abhaneri, recognized as one of India’s deepest and most ornate stepwells. Arrive in Jaipur by evening and explore Bapu Bazaar and Nehru Bazaar on foot, moving through market areas filled with textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts.
Stepwells were traditionally designed to maintain access to water as seasonal water levels changed.

Day 5: Royal Jaipur Sightseeing | Jeep Ride and Local Family Meal
Begin the morning with a jeep ride to Amber Fort, a hilltop fortress featuring ornate palaces and mirrored halls. Explore the fort before continuing to City Palace and Jantar Mantar, Jaipur’s astronomical observatory, as part of the day’s scheduled sightseeing.
Visit Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds. In the evening, join a local family for a traditional meal and experience Rajasthani hospitality in a personal setting, concluding a day centered on Jaipur’s architecture and living traditions.
Jantar Mantar’s large-scale instruments were designed for astronomical observations made with the naked eye.

Day 6: Train to Jodhpur and Osian | Blue City Arrival and Desert Jeep Safari
Board the train from Jaipur to Jodhpur, a journey of approximately five hours. Arrive in Jodhpur, widely known as the Blue City, then transfer onward to Osian Village, an ancient desert settlement recognized for its Jain and Hindu temples.
Explore Osian by jeep safari, traveling through the surrounding desert setting to visit the sand dunes and local communities. The experience introduces the village landscape and community life before concluding the day in the Osian area.
Jain and Hindu temples often coexist in historic settlements across Rajasthan, reflecting the region’s diverse religious traditions.

Day 7: Jodhpur Fort and Blue City | Palaces, Cenotaphs, and Guided Heritage Walk
Begin the morning at Mehrangarh Fort, one of India’s largest forts. Explore the elevated complex and take in panoramic views across Jodhpur’s blue-painted houses below. Continue to Jaswant Thada, known for its royal cenotaphs, followed by a visit to Umaid Bhawan Palace.
In the evening, join a guided Blue City Heritage Walk through Jodhpur. Follow the narrow lanes connecting local temples and bustling markets while exploring the distinctive urban setting created by the city’s closely grouped blue-painted houses.

Day 8: Ranakpur Temples to Udaipur | Marble Architecture and Rajasthani Folk Dance
Drive approximately 250 km from Jodhpur to Udaipur, with an estimated travel time of five to six hours. Stop along the route at the Ranakpur Jain Temples, renowned for intricate marble carvings and 1,444 uniquely designed pillars throughout the temple complex.
Continue to Udaipur, widely known as the City of Lakes. In the evening, attend a cultural dance show at Bagore Ki Haveli, where performances showcase the folk traditions of Rajasthan and conclude the day’s journey from Jodhpur.
