Visiting Tehran
Metropolis Tehran is an “experience” not to forget. A modern metropolis where more than 10 million people live and work. The economic heart of the city is the bazaar in the south. The richer Tehrani live in the north where the air is just a bit fresher. North and South are connected by the 18 km long Valiasr street. Perhaps a million cars pass here every day.Tehran is too big and there is too much to do in a few days. So choose from a museum, a park, the bazaar, a palace, a tea house, an art gallery, a kebab shop and be surprised by spontaneous encounters with the surprisingly helpful Tehrani. By a local guide to go out you can see the most special places of the city in a short time. The return flight after a short, intense trip in Iran, you will be taken by our private driver away to the IKA international airport about 30km south of the capital Tehran. He makes sure you board on time, enjoying the memory of a special trip full of new impressions. Have night train to Shiraz. Train overnight.

Shiraz
Shiraz, city of poets and gardens, is located in the heart of the ancient Persian empire. you will find beautiful parks and paradise gardens here. Our word paradise even comes from Persian. Shiraz has a wonderful climate and is a tourist friendly city where it is good to stay. Shiraz is a medium-sized Iranian city south of Esfahan towards the Persian Gulf. It has an international airport with flights to and from Dubai and Istanbul. There are bus connections to Esfahan, Yazd, Kerman and Bushehr and a sleeper train to Tehran. Shiraz has enough sights for a multi-day visit. The centre of the historic city is the imposing castle of Karim Zand. The nearby Vakil complex houses a traditional bazaar, a mosque and a bath / museum. A visit to Shiraz is a visit to Hafez. The mausoleum of this 14th century Persian poet is a busy park of the lovers. The medieval Sufi poet Saadi also has its own park / mausoleum with numerous worshippers. For the cultural traveller with a passion for ancient times, Shiraz is the perfect base for visiting the historical sites of Pasargad, Persepolis, Naqshe Rostam, Firuzabad and Bishapur. Shiraz overnight.

Persepolis, Ancient Persia's Capital
Driver / Guide to Isfahan via Persepolis, ancient Persian capital. Start the day with a drive to the remains of Persepolis (approximately 1 hour) – once the centre of the Persian Empire and considered as one of the great cities of the ancient world. The Takhte Jamshid complex of palaces was known as the historic marvel of the country, constructed over 150 years as the ceremonial capital of Darius I’s Achaemenid Empire. Continue on to Naqsh-e-Rajab – the site of four limestone rock face inscriptions and bas-reliefs that date to early Sassanid times. While today only small ruins remain from those once-magnificent structures, the site is still impressive. Persepolis was started in the 5th century BC under King Darius I. Persepolis was to be the place where the most important religious ceremonies took place for 3 weeks around Norowz (New Year) on spring equinox on March 21st. Furthermore, envoys from the 28 vassal states with taxes and gifts were received on the same occasion. The valuables were stored in the treasury, and to take care of it all had the 10,000 immortals (soldiers). Persepolis was therefore only used 3 weeks a year, and in terms of construction and what was going on, there is an incredible amount of information from the 30,000 clay tablets found at Persepolis and not yet completed. Persepolis was not known in the Middle East, so none of the well-known storytellers of the time mention the place. This is why the site is excavated so late in history. Esfahan overnight.
