Day 1

place Arrival in San Cristóbal island

You will arrive at the Puerto Baquerizo Moreno airport on San Cristóbal Island, and you will be greeted by your naturalist guide who will accompany you to your hotel so that you can leave your luggage there. In the afternoon, you will visit the Interpretation Center where your guide will tell you about the History of the Galapagos Archipelago: its geological origin, the evolution of the islands and the species that inhabit them, as well as the arrival of Men and their consequences. From there, you will start a hike up Cerro Tijeretas, literally the "hill of frigates" for the birds that nest there. Some walkways lead to breathtaking landscapes on the heights of the site while others descend into the bay, where it is possible to snorkel surrounded by sea lions, sea turtles and numerous tropical fish. You can choose to spend time at Mann Beach before heading back to port.

Then you will continue to La Galapaguera, a giant tortoise breeding center. You will be able to observe the iconic creatures of the archipelago at different stages of their life in a semi-natural habitat that allows great photographic opportunities. In the afternoon you will arrive at the beach of Puerto Chino on the east coast of the island before returning to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.

In the afternoon, you will head to the beautiful white sand beach of Tortuga Bay, named for the sea turtles that lay eggs in the area. To get there, you will take a path through the vegetation for about 2.5 km to Playa Brava.
