Depart Nairobi early in the morning and travel south along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway toward Amboseli National Park.

Pass through changing landscapes and arrive in Amboseli in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive across Amboseli’s open plains. You commonly see large elephant herds, zebras, and antelope here.

Start the day with an early morning game drive, the best time for wildlife activity and clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Return for breakfast, then spend the mid-morning at leisure to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive focused on the park’s swamp areas, where elephants, buffalo, hippos, and a variety of birdlife gather around the permanent water sources.

Amboseli’s swamps are sustained by underground water from Kilimanjaro’s glaciers.

If time permits, take an optional early morning game drive for a final chance to experience the park in the soft morning light.

Return for breakfast, then check out and begin the journey back to Nairobi.
