Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi | Airport assistance and city transfer
Your trip begins when you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, also known as JKIA, in Nairobi. At the airport, you will be met by the representative assigned to you for your arrival. They will be there to assist with any help you may need as you land and complete your arrival process.
After this airport meet and assist service, your representative will accompany you from JKIA and drive you into Nairobi. This first transfer connects your international arrival with the start of your time in Kenya, with support provided from the airport through the drive into the city.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is Nairobi’s main international airport and one of the busiest air hubs in East Africa.

Day 2: Nairobi Market Visit | Cooking ingredients with local insight
After breakfast, begin your day with a guided visit to Nairobi Market, one of the city’s most vibrant and authentic local markets. As you move through the market with your guide, you will engage directly with local vendors and get a closer look at Nairobi’s everyday food systems, including how fresh produce is sourced and how traditional ingredients are used.
During the visit, you will select and purchase fresh ingredients alongside your guide. These items are specifically chosen for your upcoming hands-on cooking session, linking the market experience directly to the next part of your culinary program while keeping the focus on local produce, ingredient knowledge, and everyday food culture in Nairobi.
Nairobi’s local markets are important parts of the city’s food supply, connecting residents with fresh produce and traditional ingredients used in daily cooking.

Day 3: Into the Masai Mara | Drive from Nairobi and first game drive
After breakfast, leave Nairobi and begin the drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. This overland journey shifts the trip from the city to one of Kenya’s best-known wildlife areas, with the route focused on reaching the reserve in time for lunch before the afternoon activities begin.
Later in the afternoon, set out on your first game drive across the reserve’s vast savannah landscapes. This opening safari experience introduces the Masai Mara’s dramatic scenery and its exceptional wildlife density as you start exploring the reserve by vehicle.

Day 4: Full Day in Mara | Game drives and Maasai interaction
Spend the day exploring Masai Mara National Reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives. With two separate outings across the day, you continue discovering the reserve while focusing on wildlife viewing in one of Kenya’s most recognized safari areas.
In addition to time in the reserve, you will enjoy a deeper cultural interaction with the local Maasai community. There is also an optional activity at extra cost: a hot air balloon safari followed by bush breakfast.
The Maasai are known for a strong pastoral tradition and remain one of the most internationally recognized communities in Kenya.

Day 5: Return to Nairobi | Great Rift Valley departure transfer
After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and begin the drive back to Nairobi. This return journey brings your safari portion to a close while keeping the day focused on the road transfer from the reserve to the city. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley as you travel east toward Nairobi.
On arrival in Nairobi, continue directly with a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward travel arrangements. This final transfer connects your return from the Masai Mara with your departure logistics, ending the trip with a clear overland route back to the airport.
